Lol, why the disagrees? It technically is a PC exclusive since you can't mod console games... Regardless, this looks really cool. I own TP so I might just give this a shot when it comes out.

Thirty3Three4014d ago

You actually can mod console games.

Not sure where you've been hiding, friend :O

Snookies124014d ago

@Thirty3Three - Alright, I should reiterate that. It's a pain to mod console games.

Said Hi!!!

Qrphe4014d ago

Lol

@Three

Not with hi-res textures

Reverent4014d ago

They don't even look hi-res. They look like pretty solid colored textures :/

I'd be interested in this, but I honestly prefer the darker scheme of vanilla LoZ:TP, which in my opinion, looks better than these "hi-res" textures.

TheXonySbox4014d ago

def not a texture expert who did this, but either way shows the power of the PC.

PCs can do anything.
With season devs supporting this kind of thing, remakes would be VERY impressive for the PC and its horsepower.

Yodagamer4014d ago

It's not high res it's the textures from skyward sword.

Trago13374014d ago

I wonder what kind of art style Ninty will go with on the Wii U title.

adorie4014d ago

I wish they'd go realistic for once. I'd like to see their take on what it would look like in such an art style.

WiiU tech demo comes to mind.

Trago13374014d ago

They already did with Twilight princess, but I wouldn't mind something realistic. I do enjoy colorful aesthetics more.

DarkBlood4014d ago

we'll be seeing some of the assets from the wiiu wind waker hd so some clues of what the actualy wiiu zelda game would look like will be there

so dont go assuming the toon look is how its going to be before you go ranting at me lol :P

Deku-Johnny4014d ago

I'd rather they went with a completely new style, they've already tried realism and so many devs go for that style. It's better they be artistic and imaginative like they usually are.

Knight_Crawler4014d ago

I love Zelda but I hope Nintendo drops the Hour Glass and Wind Waker art style...looks like Nintendo just copied a pasted some Mii's a threw them in a Zelda universe.

diepdiep4014d ago (Edited 4014d ago )

Imagine a Zelda game with "Okami" style visuals. That would be interesting.

Oh_Yeah4014d ago

They already did with Windwaker, and it's the worst Zelda in the series. (out of the N64,Gamecube, Wii games)

trenso14014d ago

what are you talking about im completely disagree with your opinion wind waker was awesome to me but not my favorite one though, that goes to majoras mask

Natso4014d ago

Worst Zelda in the series?

Are you kidding me?

It was easily one of the best.

4014d ago
Eyeco4014d ago

Wind Waker is one of my favourite games, the worst Zelda game imo is Zelda 2 and even still that's far from a bad game

Jyndal4013d ago

Wind Waker was one of the best.
Majora's Mask was the worst imo.

Maybe it's because I played it right after Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask.. I had high expectations. I wanted it to be like those games but better... Wind Waker just didn't come close, the cell shading felt out of place in a Zelda game, the enemies were all cutesy, you didn't feel like a badass, and by the time I got about half way through I questioned if I'm playing this because I wanted to like it because it was a Zelda game lol and that's what it was for me, Wind Waker is the weakest link..pun intended. Twilight Princess gave me what I was looking for though.

Reverent4014d ago

I half agree, half disagree. With Wind Waker, I found myself disliking it at first, based on how it looked... But as I got into it, it is definitely one of the best Zelda games. The enemies were fun to fight, all the new items to collect were awesome, the dungeon design was incredible, and the side quests were arguably even more plentiful than Majora's Mask.

I respect your opinion, but you can't deny that Wind Waker was a great game nonetheless.

NobodyImportant4014d ago

Totally disagree.
I thought Twilight Princess was the worst of the 3D Zeldas so far.
It was trying to hard to be Ocarina and just fell flat.
Windwaker was fantastic IMHO. I loved the sailing between islands. And I thought the stylised graphics suited the game.
Because ...let's be honest, Zelda has always had cartoony graphics. Twilight princess was never trying to look realistic was it. It was stylised of a fashion, semi-cartoony.
Windwaker just went the whole hog in the style department.
Zelda is not about looking realistic, gritty and gory. It's got to be acceptable for children which is what the Wii and Wii U are aimed at.
I love gritty hardcore realistic graphics as much as the next guy, but it just doesn't suit Zelda.
Twilight princess went for generic bland cartoon graphics.
Windwaker went for style and character and that's why I liked it so much.

nirwanda4014d ago

I thought windwaker was one of the best looking zelda's in the dungeon's but one the the worst in the town, I just couldn't get my head around how they could make the enemy's animation so fluid and the townsfolk so lifeless.

deafdani4014d ago

There's already a Zelda game with Okami style visuals. It's called Okami.

:P

Williamson4014d ago

My first Zelda game I played and an instant favorite, looks good.

TheGrimReaper4014d ago

I've liked TP's original art style more than SS's ...
:(

Remember the techdemo of Zelda Wii U?
THIS is what I want for the next Zelda game!

delboy4014d ago

So many gamers and myself included fell in love with the WiiU
tech demo art style.
It's just a perfect balance between a realistic and cartoon style.

I'm eager to see what art style they will make for next Metroid or Star Fox game.
Can't wait for e3.

Twilight Princess’ Hyrule Field Is Boring, Empty, And Excellent

TheGamer Writes "In my experience, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess’ once-warm reception has chilled somewhat over the years. Praised at launch as a beautiful return to form after the “childish” art style of its direct predecessor, the world eagerly embraced a game that more closely followed Ocarina of Time’s famous structure and plot cues. Perhaps most alluringly of all, the grandeur and sheer scope of this reimagined Hyrule Field wowed millions of us."

Yup, looks like Nintendo "sales" pricing.

GaboonViper608d ago

I am a huge Zelda fan and love them all, but for me Ocarina Of Time is the greatest and my second all time favourite game after Final Fantasy VII.

LoveSpuds607d ago (Edited 607d ago )

You sir, have good taste in games :)

I also love all of the Zelda games but I adore Windwaker (Specifically the HD version on WiiU) most of all. It is a close run thing with Breath of the Wild though.

Special mention to Cadence of Hyrule too, what an awesome spin off title that was!

GaboonViper606d ago

Cheers Spuds, yep i love Windwaker too, beautiful artstyle, and i loved sailing and finding all the secrets out there.

blackbeld606d ago

Agreed. For me top 3 of all time is.

1. ocarina of time
2. Final fantasy Vll
3. MGS1

GaboonViper606d ago

Brilliant top 3, would love a MGS1 remake that has been rumoured.

LoveSpuds606d ago

Yup, hard to argue with that top 3 squire, some quality games right there!

-Foxtrot608d ago

Oh gee can't imagine what Number 1 is

....

A Link to the Past, Ocarina of Time and Wind Waker etc is better than Breath of the Wild.

lockedongamer1608d ago

I respectfully disagree, but they're all great games.

porkChop608d ago

I think it really depends on what you're looking for. If you want a traditional Zelda game then OoT or WW would be better to you. But if you want a Zelda game that really leans into adventure and exploration, and if you want intelligent systems/logic, BotW would be the better game.

I enjoy both. I understand why some people aren't fond of it but for me it was a breath of fresh air that I really needed. I'd become so burnt out on unimaginative games and BotW sort of made me appreciate games again, as weird as that may sound.

godofboobees607d ago

Those are not traditional Zelda games

Crows90607d ago

Right...so let's pretend ocarina of time didnt have exploration, secret dungeons and other secrets. Complex boss mechanics and exploration rewards. At least a traditional Zelda has dungeons.

porkChop606d ago

What point are you attempting to make? At no point did I say that OoT didn't have any of that. However, the level of exploration and sense of adventure are vastly different between OoT and BotW.

Brazz607d ago

Breath of the Wild is overrated as shot, Wind waker is much better.

P_Bomb607d ago

I’m a Link to the Past guy.

MadLad607d ago

Majora's Mask still holds as my favorite to this day, despite being the black sheep of the series.

pietro1212607d ago

I love them all, but Wind Walker, Link to the Past and Minish Cap are my favorites

John_McClane606d ago

Link to the Past was so, so good! Those chickens though! 🤣
