I'd be interested in this, but I honestly prefer the darker scheme of vanilla LoZ:TP, which in my opinion, looks better than these "hi-res" textures.

Maybe it's because I played it right after Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask.. I had high expectations. I wanted it to be like those games but better... Wind Waker just didn't come close, the cell shading felt out of place in a Zelda game, the enemies were all cutesy, you didn't feel like a badass, and by the time I got about half way through I questioned if I'm playing this because I wanted to like it because it was a Zelda game lol and that's what it was for me, Wind Waker is the weakest link..pun intended. Twilight Princess gave me what I was looking for though.

I half agree, half disagree. With Wind Waker, I found myself disliking it at first, based on how it looked... But as I got into it, it is definitely one of the best Zelda games. The enemies were fun to fight, all the new items to collect were awesome, the dungeon design was incredible, and the side quests were arguably even more plentiful than Majora's Mask.

I respect your opinion, but you can't deny that Wind Waker was a great game nonetheless.

Totally disagree.
I thought Twilight Princess was the worst of the 3D Zeldas so far.
It was trying to hard to be Ocarina and just fell flat.
Windwaker was fantastic IMHO. I loved the sailing between islands. And I thought the stylised graphics suited the game.
Because ...let's be honest, Zelda has always had cartoony graphics. Twilight princess was never trying to look realistic was it. It was stylised of a fashion, semi-cartoony.
Windwaker just went the whole hog in the style department.
Zelda is not about looking realistic, gritty and gory. It's got to be acceptable for children which is what the Wii and Wii U are aimed at.
I love gritty hardcore realistic graphics as much as the next guy, but it just doesn't suit Zelda.
Twilight princess went for generic bland cartoon graphics.
Windwaker went for style and character and that's why I liked it so much.

I thought windwaker was one of the best looking zelda's in the dungeon's but one the the worst in the town, I just couldn't get my head around how they could make the enemy's animation so fluid and the townsfolk so lifeless.

Indeed. Each Zelda has its unique feelings to transfer to the player. TP was meant to be dark, and SS, bright and colorful. I love both, but can't mix them. That's just my opinion though...

A game that you may say is the limit that this console can do because its soo good? if the OUYA specs is better than a Wii then possibly it can. But if not it cannot emulate it. You do know that even though you have a strong PC rig, to emulate even just a PS2 game, it almost maximizes the the PC right?

Haha, yeah. I actually noticed it right away because I actually bought the game for the GC around the Holidays, only for my parents to buy me the Wii version on Christmas (They are very supportive of my gaming addiction even as an adult lol). So I ended up with two copies, and honestly, I played through both of them and still had plenty of fun. The Wii version being mirrored made if feel like a different experience.

I Still Prefer the twilight graphics over the skyward sword art style. Because Link looks more realistic and believable in twilight princess. Im not saying I want it to be as realistic as other games, but cel shaded is more better in other games. There are many people who I know likes twilight more than cel shaded. But this is just about the art style im talking about not the gameplay. Skyward sword is one of the best. But I wish when the Next Zelda comes, Nintendo will take advantage of the Wii-U hardware

I've played SS in HD(1080p) and everything looked delicously good. It looked far better than TP imo ( eventhough I did play TP on the Wii, just that SS artstyle is given more justice by a higher render output)

Yes I can see the comparison. what I mean is no matter how beautiful cel shaded art style is. I still want a proper "3D" textured graphics style. its a fresh take on the zelda series yes, but I dont want them to go this art style again in future zelda games. Just like I said, give justice to the hardware of Wii-U by making glorious graphics. If your a good developer like nintendo then I dont doubt that even with great graphics, gameplay will still be awesome!! just like the mario galaxy games, its not cel shaded but its still beautiful to look at. I love zelda games. You know one time when theres wind waker and majoras mask, I wished that nintendo would make an adult link just like they shown in the gamecube demo. then it finally came true with twilight princess!! and let me tell you im impressed with the graphics for a zelda game.

This is the thing that separates pc from console, keeping 1080p for speed but having higher detail levels in the graphics.

its not all about resolution, speed and 1080p is much better than having higher res and have it run lik a snail, detail settings make the difference.

I didn't care for Skyward Sword. Just didn't do anything for me. Twilight Princess was ok. I think I still prefer the overall look of Wind Waker, I'd just like to see it expanded upon.

On another note, I'd trade my left testicle for a full remake of the first LoZ game with TP graphics. ***drool***
