"Long-term we need a game that can help us support development for years to come" says Relic

Company of Heroes 2 has been deliberately designed to allow for post-launch DLC, Relic has stated. This is to combat the situation they had with the first game, where there was no room for continued support of the game outside expansions.

"We look at the original Company of Heroes, which we shipped 6 ½ years ago, with no way of supporting that product over all of those years," Company of Heroes 2 Game Director Quinn Duffy said to Strategy Informer.

Fuck that sucks. so you're buying an incomplete game and someone can just buy the dlc and beat u w/ it.

landog4021d ago (Edited 4021d ago )

how about you just release a great set of modding tools, we don't need lame as$ dlc, everyone
HATES dlc that i know in the pc crowd....its insulting

release great mod tools and expansions every 1.5-2 years, thats plenty......

we don't need to be nickle and dimed for some map and character skin that any rookie could create

create full blown expansions or don't bother asking for any more money

oh...and why the fu#$ is this game $60???
for digital too......seriously....????
I love company of heroes and relic (dawn of war is even better) but you certainly are not going to see $60 from me......

I think I'll wait till its $30, it honestly just looks like another expansion....nothing radically new in gameplay or design, and the graphics are pretty nice but pretty much the same

$50 pc game price or gtfo!!

I miss the good old expansions...

One day, they'll try to charge us for bug fixes too.
DLC game patch, only $9.99...

Very refreshing to see a story give the list right at the top of the article rather than making you click through it 15 times. Having said that, how do you not have HoMM3 on the list?! Yes, it's turn-based strategy, but it still has a strong multiplayer following 22 years later.

I'd say Red Alert 2 Yuri's Revenge without question belongs on this list.
