Turns out David Hayter might still play Snake in 'Metal Gear Solid V' after all

Well, this certainly is a long shot, but let's take a look anyway. Just moments ago (April 20) this video (also embedded for convenience) emerged on the net under the YouTube channel moniker "OnigawaraV," hinting at... something.

Many people including David Hayter were shocked at the fact he wouldn't be voicing Snake, but kept Japanese voice actor reprising the role. This shows again how Kojima is a egotistical asshole that only thinks of himself. I am sure the fan outcry is forcing him to reconsider his original decision. I am sure in new months you will see he reaches out to Hayter and brings him back. If I were Hayter, I would tell him to kiss my ass. I like the franchise but cant stand the creator. From how he treats his development team to his not giving credit to his inspiration for the game. Saying it was mere coincidence with resemblance to Escape from New York or Kurt Russell

It wasn't an April Fools joke because it was announced before April Fools(March 27, 2013). Hayter tweeted it on that day but the announcement came before that date. No one believes it was and this wouldn't be said 20 days later if it was conceived as an AF joke. You should really read these things for yourself instead of looking like sheep.

Well, Kojima said that his reason has something to do with a "fresh start" or something... Meaning, he wanted to start things fresh in every aspect of the game, including its characters. Only thing that doesn't make a lick of sense with that mindset, is that the Japanese VA for Snake is staying the same... So it most likely IS just an elaborate troll. Hopefully... There just isn't anyone else who I can see playing Snake as well as Hayter...

I want another game about Solid Snake, using the original voice. I don't care if it's another sequel or a bunch of prequels. My interest is in the soldier, who was cloned from big boss, and suffered.

I'm up for a PS4 version of the classic NES game titled Metal Gear. That's a start to win back my interest in the series. MGS V is acceptable but I still want that old snake moreso than a story about Big Boss. That is what I want.

I think it's going to be Michael Biehn. He's the one who we thought we were playing from the very beginning because his likeness was portrayed on the front of Metal Gear for NES.
He's also an actor and has voiced video games.

You guys got it all wrong... Title is misleading because when he mentions "Look Closer Detectives" he is clearly referring to 24's Jack Bauer character, so in other words its Kiefer Sutherland as "We all knew from the start"

He also did voice in computer animated movies such as "Monsters vs Aliens", "The Wild" and more :)

Still this doesn't mean that Kiefer is the new voice actor for snake... We'll have to just wait and see, although in the gameplay demonstration Kiefer's voice character revealed himself as Ishmael.

The voice of your companion in the hospital scenes from the trailer is almost certainly him, he's been in a lot of Hollywood films and he's voiced two games (24 and COD: WAW)

I doubt that movie constitutes as a computer animated movie, it's mainly hand drawn with touch ups with a computer. When someone says computer animated, they think of something like a pixar movie with 3d models.

Wtf are you talking about?? Hayter has only ever really voiced 1 older Snake and that Snake wasn't even aging normally. Plus he did great in the role, his voice held sadness, plus he gave it a deeper raspy-ness while still sounding like Snake.
