good read, shame you could not get that head around RE1, the game does get really good, and controls are just different, after while you get used to them, i love RE1 to Re3, and all the outbreak versions, RE died when that trash 4 come out, and has continued go down hill ever since

Maybe it's nostalgia, but I remember being actually scared playing RE1. The music, the camera angles and limited resources always had me on the edge.
With RE4, 5, and 6, it seems they moved it more to an action game, and less a survival horror game.
Sure the tank controls were clunky, but there has to be a way for the people who hold the RE reins to get that feel back.
resident evil 2 was my favourite. survival horror is what made the game so popular today its just another action game like so many others.
