Totally cough me by surprise. I wasn't expecting a FIFA game this year. /s

abzdine4020d ago

FIFA13 is a broken game, i'm expecting more than transfer update if they want my money this time

KingPin4020d ago

does anyone know if EA plan to release an update pack after the january transfer window?

come to think of it, why don't they release update packs instead of whole new games every year. lets face it, gameplay doesn't change much. maybe every 3-4 years something new is introduced. so until then why not just sell update packs as DLC.
in the meantime they can get 5-6 new features introduced in a new game that would actually make the $60 price tag worth it.

update pack for what game? If you mean fifa 13 and next winters transfer window then no. EA stop updating games once the new games out they will abandon FIFA 13 after 14 is released.

Also "14 is coming" !? Yeah! what a SURPRISE!!

KingPin4020d ago

congrats on missing the point.
im saying they should make
fifa 14 then instead of FIFA 15, 16,17, make an update packs. and make so that the logos and loading screens front end changes to show FIFA 15, 16, 17. then make FIFA 18 with a ton load of new features.
then update packs for 19,20,21. then FIFA 22.

simply
FIFA 14 = all new features etc
FIFA 15 = FIFA 14 update 1
FIFA 16 = FIFA 14 update 2
FIFA 17 = FIFA 14 update 3
FIFA 18 = all new features etc
FIFA 19 = FIFA 18 update 1
FIFA 20 = FIFA 18 update 2
FIFA 21 = FIFA 18 update 3
etc etc

WOW I guess I missed the point because thats the most idiotic suggestion Ive ever read! LOL!

Im assuming your master plan "king pin" is that they will charge for these updates? (if not just lol) and you think people will pay for these transfer updates? And logo changes? By doing that EA would lose so much money, it doesnt matter if you think its worth it people are buying the game AND even if we assume sales became low this update plan would never happen.

EA would basically be telling their fans that they dont care to improve the game (even though I agree they dont improve much)but thats not what their fans think. Its all in all a terrible idea.

Also Please dont go into business strategies ever again...

"and you think people will pay for these transfer updates"

Think your missing the point, £4.99 would be a nice price for transfer updates plus the 1 or 2 changes they make each fifa, would be better than paying £40 every year for practically the same game with new player rosters lol, your an idiot, I buy every other fifa cause of the little difference each one brings, no way would I buy every fifa at £40, introducing updates for a small fee would welcomed by most gamers imo.

KingPin4020d ago

you think thats a bad idea, i guess you content with paying full price for an update pack thats actually called FIFA14, FIFA15, FIFA16 etc.
coz thats all it is. you admit that they don't change much, so basically you admitting that they essentially selling you an update pack in full retail packaging. i knew there were fools that bought EA trickery, just never thought id converse with one.

but you right, EA didn't become one of the biggest gaming companies being honest and realistic. why make updates and charge less when they can get you to pay full price for them doing half the work. makes sense their way right. lol

who cares it is just an update for fifa 13

it brings you new players and arenas and shit like that with better GRAFFIX

woo fucking hoo

Fifa 13 was the last soccer game I am prepared to purchase for my current systems.

I think '13' will hold me until the inevitable Next Gen Versions, unless they make '14' so desirable that it's almost mandatory to buy.

TBH I can't see any significant improvements that they can make on this gen.

PS4/720 Fifa Soccer ....thanks!

Not all outdated football games are worthless

Games Asylum: "Outdated football games are a common sight when scouring jumble sales, car boots and charity shops for bargain price video games. Entire shelves filled with decade-old FIFA and PES games spread across a dozen formats. Often they end up in bargain bins, sitting alongside unwanted celebrity fitness DVDs and seemingly random TV show box sets. But here’s the thing. Not all football games gathering dust in the likes of Oxfam are in fact worthless."
