Rumor - Next Dragon Ball Game Project Age 2013 on Wii U?

A message from Tony Shoupinou, community manager from Namco Bandai Europe, announce a new Dragon Ball for this year. Dragon Ball Game Project Age 2013 (provisional name) is apparently an exclusive production for Nintendo Wii U. Not for the PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360...

A minimum of details has also been provided and the title looks promising. According to the message, the player will retrace the complete Akira Toriyama's saga: Dragon Ball, Z, GT and TV-Movies. That's not all, more than 30 arenas will be available with more than 100 characters!

A mode called Dragon Rush is embellished beat'em all scenes and boss battle. No doubt the gameplay operate partly gamepad functionality. Rumor true or false? Just wait a little longer to find out.

I'd be kinda pissed if we finally get an amazing Dragon Ball game and it ends up being a Wii U exclusive lol. Then again, that would certainly push me into buying one sooner...

Maybe Namco and Nintendo working together on Smash Bros. Is how this came to be... I remember awhile back that it was rumored of the WiiU getting a 3rd party exclusive that would stir more commotion than Bayonetta 2 did, but I'm not so sure if this is that game though! Seems Nintendo is really trying to solidify that spot in Japan and hopefully they come through equally in the western regions also.

Exclusive for Wii U for a few months you mean. Just like other games >.> Rayman cough...Ninja Gaiden 3 cough...Bayon..etta....Just kidding about that last one but Nintendo is slipping.

ninja gaiden was a port with some upgades. rayman legends is the only case of that happening.

You are right about Rayman, but wrong about Ninja Gaiden... This game was already made and Nintendo basically paid for the game to be fixed and then put on the WiiU. But the game had already been published though... Games like Bayonetta 2, Lego City & W101 are being funded by Nintendo from the ground up to be published onto the WiiU. There's a major difference here and people should compare it to song publishing... If an artist such as Paul McCartney releases a song that he wrote (say last year) and I then take that song and put a 100 piece orchestra behind it and rerecord it. The song and all likeness thereof still belongs to the original creator and I can't control what the artist does with the music. But if he goes on to sell units of the version that I helped publish to make, then I would reap the benefits by receiving royalty checks from whatever publishing percentage that was outlined in the original agreement.
On the other hand, if I go to Paul McCartney and tell him that I would like to hire him to create a new song and I'm paying for the musicians, studio time and everything in between to create the end product. Then I become the sole producer and have creative control where that product is then released. Now Paul can freely go on to write many other songs and release those at will, but if he ever made an exact duplicate of the material that I paid for and have controlling rights and interest in. Then that would be grounds for a major lawsuit! Videogames are a different media from music, but the fundamentals are still the same when it comes to publishing across all forms of entertainment.

Seeing how Namco Bandai & Nintendo are pretty cozy right now I could see this happening. I just hope its either a sequel to Budakai Tenkaichi 3 or Raging Blast 2. I prefer the superior roster in BT 3 but I loved the way RG 2 turned out and it had some of the obscure move sets I always wanted. Being able to have Vegeta use the move he used to Kill Jeice never gets old. I also hope they bring back the Were Ape transformations.

Fanboys...geez. Besides that I been playing Nintendo since the start my Wii U is just in dust right now. Back to PS3 until this ^ comes out or that HD remake of my favorite Zelda.
