This weekend (April 19 – 21, 2013) Arena.Net is offering curious gamers the chance to play the best MMORPG of the year for Free!
No level restrictions or invisible walls just as much adventure in Tyria as you can handle in 48 hours.
Here are just ten of the reasons you'll probably fall in love.
Wccftech talked to Guild Wars 2 Game Director Josh Davis about the learnings from the Secrets of the Obscure expansion and what's coming to the MMORPG.
The "slippery slope" debate has started, now we wait to see what ArenaNet does.
"ArenaNet and NCSOFT are today very happy and excited to announce that they have just released the "Secrets of the Obscure" expansion for their award-winning and critically acclaimed MMORPG "Guild Wars 2"." - Jonas Ek, TGG.
Anet also announced the 5th expansion. "We’ve already started applying lessons from the development of Guild Wars 2: Secrets of the Obscure to our fifth expansion, which we expect to be released next year." From their site, been with this game since 1st beta, and announcing the 5th expansion so soon, the game is doing very well, plus the graphics are improved a bit now that it's on DX11🙃
Sweet! Got my key, I've always been interested in GW2, but never had a chance to give it a go until now. I'll be looking forward to this weekend. :]
Excellent opportunity for "nonbelievers!" No better time to try Guild Wars 2.
Except it's not the best mmo of the year as it was launched last year. And it sucks.
Been playing it for few months. Got to max lvl in around a week, after that all you can do is do World vs World (which is great) and get some skins for your armors and weapons plus some ascend accesories which are quite easy to get as well. While it got some great things implemented (level scaling loot scaling and epic battles, jumping puzzles) and is probably most polished MMO i've played it kind of lacks of end game. I remember I've played some mmos that even after playing 2 years (ex. WoW) I still felt like i didnt achieve 10% of what I could achieve and there is still tons of things to do, but in GW2 I ran out of stuff to do after 3-4 weeks. Still , I recommend it to any mmo fan. It just needs more content. They do add stuff basicly every month but wish they added more real game changing stuff.
