Chris "Dot" Penha writes "I love comic books, but I’m an even bigger fan of fighting games so Injustice: Gods Among Us seemed like it was going to shotgun it’s way into my heart and onto my console. Then I played it and my expectations were shattered, the weeks of watching the Battle Area seemed wasted, my hype had been assassinated."
Injustice: Gods Among Us launched 10 years ago today, birthing a brand new fighting game franchise from NetherRealm Studios.
Injustice turns ten years old today, so let's look back at why it matters
10 years on from the original release of Injustice: Gods Among Us, NetherRealm's other fighting game deserves recognition.
Just played the demo and not impressed its too slow and too clunky just like MK9
Seemed pretty fun.
MK9 is better. Injustice is about as broken as MvC with its environmental damage doing about 18% of your life and then being able to do unblockable combos for around 100% of your life. The game has no balance and is just trying to cash-in on the DC franchise.
I've lost all hope for any good fighting games based on DC. This is MK vs DC all over again without the MK.
Both games (Injustice and MK9) are good games, what tha hell is everybody talking about? MK9 was far from being slow, it was actually one of the most fast paced fighting games created in years, while I do agree that there are far more faster Versus fighters, the fact of the matter is that MK9 was a solid game with great action.
