The problem with “always-online”, and why everyone is missing the point

NE: "Ah, but today, something has come up that I think is worth discussing despite that fact: This idea of “always-online”. This concept that my console, game, or PC must be connected to the internet at all times in order to play the games I want to play, or use the services I want to use."

Actually, the real problem is with articles like this. Pathetic "journalists" foaming at the mouth for hits for their pathetic site so they spin rumors and rehash old rumors over and over. You know why their are only a handful of trusted gaming sites? They don't bite into rumor and they wait for CREDITABLE information before they rush to post an article. E3 is less than 2 months away and we are going to continue to see the same articles posted over and over with no concrete information or creditable sources. You're late to the party and no one cares about your opinion on a rumor which is old. Can we please get some real news on this site???

BREAK NEWS: Rumor has it from an anonymous source that every Nextbox will come shipped with an oriental woman to provide constant massages while playing. There you go guy, run with that.

I have a friend (no, really) who doesn't read any gaming sites but it utterly convinced, based on what another friend told him, that the 720 will include some sort of VR headset... I think he should start a gaming blog! ;)

hahah well played neversoft. It's getting a little ridiculous of what passes for "news" these days.

JeffGunZ Bubbles + well said!

I too am sick of 2bit Gaming Journalist slumming for web hits. Report facts not made up stuff and rumors.

Millions and millions of PC Gamers play ONline MP Games and MMO's or have Steam running 24/7 with no problems.

Console manufactures have seen this and the data shows that they can turn a huge profit, protect against Hackers and Pirates while staying connected to the Internet 24/7

Something about recreating old school graphics in an era of HD high poly photo realism just hits a spot. I'm not nostalgic cause I mostly played GameCube and GB/A, but it's a visual style that gets over looked even by indies.

6 Fun Games Where You Actually Play As The Bad Guy

While the mainstream media always sees things turning in favor of the hero, here are 6 games that own being a bad guy.

Profchaos45m ago

Pretty much all of these games listed are based around a morality system you don't have to be bad and you don't have to be good.

It seems to have left out some real amazing games like red dead redemption 1/2,ass effect and true crime la/ny
