Most critics would say everything but everything is a very vague answer. Gaming sites have been rating the Walking Dead Survival Instinct as a terrible game, but why? In theory, the game had everything to succeed, especially because the title is attached to a very famous TV series: The Walking Dead. But instead, it became a complete disappointment.

Let’s face it, shall we? TV tie-ins are usually a load of old guff. Search your feelings, you know it to be true. However, sometimes these games offer something that’s genuinely and surprisingly fun. It’s rarer than a rainbow coloured leprechaun riding a unicorn through Atlantis
G4@Syfygames' Jason Fanelli explores popular TV, movie, and comic brands that couldn't get it right in video games -- and why they should get another shot.
What went wrong is this game was created. Trying to cash in off the show and trying to match the success of the title that was avialible on PSN and XBL. The game was rushed out the door with all these problems and they expected this game to be big.
Well, I'll give you a blunt answer as to why it is horse s***.
The FPS genre is the most competitive genre out there, so when reviewing this game, you also have to keep in mind how it stacks up against its competition. Anything higher than a 4 or 5 out of ten for this game is an insult to many other shooters out there.
I myself would give it a 3 or 4, and Aliens Colonial Marines a 4 or 5. If I gave TWD a 6 (which some people did) is wrong IMO, and they shouldn't be reviewing in the FPS genre. I know reviews are opinions, but c'mon, a 6/10 is quite high for this game, considering then enemy AI went back 2 decades with this game.
Also, being able to run through an FPS in 2 hours with nothing but a knife while closing doors on zombies (without killing one of them) is an utter disgrace and insult to all those who built the gaming industry and made it what it is today.
The grammar and punctuation in that article were worse than the game...
I think the game was always destined to be bad after Telltale put out their outstanding game and the fact the developer, Terminal Reality, haven't really made a decent game other than Ghostbusters and that was 4 years ago.
It tried to come alive.
