At least wait until some more information comes out before being worried, geez.

BabyTownFrolics4024d ago (Edited 4024d ago )

then there would be nothing to write about and N4G would cease to exist.

I always felt that ideally gamers would find interesting articles and post them to share with their fellow gamers.

Instead we have folks creating blogs and submitting themselves to N4G. So that the articles are catered to this horrible community.

In the end N4G is a disease and articles and sites like these are just the puss filled lesions.

In terms of the game. Just wait and see. Nothing controversial or difficult about that. But being level headed does not get hits. So here we are.

Toon_Link4024d ago (Edited 4024d ago )

Can someone explain to me if you feel the way you do about n4g and it's community why are you here now posting comments? Everyday I see atleast 1 comment like this usually from a person with 1 bubble and I just can't understand what would keep a person with what seems like disgust to stick around.

stuntman_mike4024d ago (Edited 4024d ago )

@Toon_Link

Exactly why would you stick around if you thought that bad about something, absolutely ridiculous. they probably have multiple accounts with diverse views like some weird internet schizo.

on topic the vita versions is looking very good.

avengers19784024d ago

My only concern is that it's not rocksteady making the game. I loved the other batman Arkham games. So lets hope they stick with what works

TopDudeMan4024d ago

Yes, I'm worried that the game might lose the spark and overall feel of quality it had back when they were making it.

Root4024d ago

Same...and the fact the lead guy in charge was the man behind the Incedible Hulk game and Prototype. Two horrible average games in my opinion. Someone like him should not be allowed near Batman

It's basicaly going to be an improved, reskinned Arkham City with more areas to explore...just a filler game untill Rocksteady do their game

Mouktouk4024d ago (Edited 4024d ago )

"No word was issued on why Rocksteady isn’t being used".
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I heard it's because Warner Bros (as publisher) wanted to have 2 Batman games every 4 years, one being developed by Rocksteady, one developed by WB Montréal.

So if it's the case, that would explain why Rocksteady isn't involved in the development of Arkham Origins: they're probably already working on their next [Batman] game, coming in two years.

Root4024d ago

The least they could of done though is not make it part of the Arkham games

Make them separate Batman franchises so if one fails Rocksteady doesn't get related to it

bronxsta4024d ago (Edited 4024d ago )

1) If it's not broken, don't fix it. Arkham City was perfection. I'd rather have them build off AC than try to add in new mechanics or change existing ones

2) There are other excellent Batman writers. Scott Snyder and The Court of Owls, anyone? And just because Dini hasn't been confirmed, doesn't mean he's not involved

3) All Game Informer "reveal trailers" are like that. Look at the Thief reveal. The initial videos were behind-the-scenes stuff and interviews. The debut trailer came later. And E3's only about two months away

4) Um, maybe Rocksteady's working on a next-gen Batman game? Beyond: Two Souls is releasing in October 8th and that's a PS3 exclusive so...

Toon_Link4024d ago

I totally agree with you, I'm not worried unless the new studio tries to mix things up which I don't see happening considering Rocksteady is probably working on the next sequel.

I would rather have the continuation of the story before a prequel but not at the cost of a new studio helming the project.

CEOSteveBallmer4024d ago

I somehow feel A batman prequel is you know less desirable than moving forward with a sequel. Everyone wants to know what happens next. But im not against prequels. they better make sure that after arkham origins, the next game will be the continuation of the series Batman arkham 3: they can name it Batman: Gotham city

The best Batman Arkham game still isn’t on PS5, and that’s a problem

Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League is almost here, but I can't revisit the best Arkhamverse game on PS5 without sacrificing quality.

Not a fan of Orgins. Blame it on the absence of Conroy & Hamill. Blame it on the lack of atmosphere compared to Asylm. Hell blame it the devs thst dicked over Wii U owners like me that purchased the game only for support be dropped as a thank you to me. It's better than Knight but that's not saying much. I don't care for that entry either.

Rebel_Scum92d ago

tbh buying a game like that for WiiU should’ve been an obvious non-purchase when it existed on better hardware.

Cacabunga92d ago

Origins is amazing..
my favorite Batman is Batman and Robin on mega drive.. an HD REMASTER of that would still look glorious

ZeekQuattro91d ago

I got it launch. Kinda hard to go back. I'm supposed to know they were going to drop support months after the fact. 🤣

Exvalos92d ago

You sound like a salty fanboy, that it didn't come to your precious plastic of choice. It's not the developers fault Nintendo continues making underpowered hardware. It's our fault because we keep buying it. Yes I say (we) I'm part of the problem as well.

ZeekQuattro91d ago

I have a PS3 and a Wii U. How was I a salty fanboy? I bought the game on the system I wanted it for.

Rebel_Scum91d ago

Nah my comment has nothing to do with whether you’d know or not that they’d drop support.

Buying any AAA game of that era for a WiiU you should’ve known you’d be sacrificing graphics and load times.

LucasRuinedChildhood92d ago

It's solid but Origins is definitely not the best Arkham game.

LoveSpuds91d ago

Smacks of hyperbole to me, talk about clutching at straws to create some drama around PS5!!

generic-user-name91d ago

Titles like these are designed to get you to come in, go to their comment section and tell them how they're so wrong so they can boost their numbers.

Phoenix7692d ago

Even though its not the best arkham game in the series, its still an enjoyable game in its own right. What it do really well at though, was the crime investigations scenes. Which imo, were the best of the franchise.

goldwyncq92d ago

I don’t know about best game but it definitely has the best story and boss fights.

boing192d ago

Never played it and recently I've finally tried it via cloud on psn. It's not the best for sure, but it ain't bad either.

Batman: Arkham Origins - Open World Busy Work that Doesn't Hold Up 10 Years Later

Batman: Arkham Origins launched 10 years ago today, and sadly doesn't stand the test of time as well as its predecessors.

Petebloodyonion172d ago

I fail to grasp why this title is worse compared to Arkham City (according to the article) as the author didn't provide any argument to explain why aside from that it felt the bigger map compared to Arkham Asylum made the experience less tight.
More importantly, the author seems like he never played Arkham City since he described the game as linear (alongside Asylum).

The Unjustly Forgotten Batman: Arkham Origins Deserves A Resurgence

Despite certain flaws, Batman: Arkham Origins is a splendid entry in the legendary Arkham series and deserves better than being forsaken.

lellkay286d ago (Edited 286d ago )

It's the worst of the three in my opinion, but still really enjoyable. Definitely underated and gets far more crap that it deserves.

Should be included with the other Arkham games in the bundle.

Demetrius285d ago

I'm honestly enjoying it alot, my first time playing since I just decided to get a Xbox 360 slim for 65$, I cop some other gems too tho, I went into Arkham origins not expecting better than Arkham city but it does deliver plus the guy who voices batman did a good job aiming for the young Bruce impression
