PS Plus Members Get Hitman Absolution in May...

The Instant Game Collection for EU members surpasses even more expectations in May, by giving it's members the impressive "Hitman Absolution" from Square Enix.
After some very impressive reviews and not even six months, the guys at Playstation EU dropped this Tweet a short while ago...

"PS Plus members: your headline IGC game for May will be.... *drumroll* Hitman Absolution. We'll reveal four additional titles next week."

I personally cannot wait!!

Yeah the first year I signed up was rubbish!

PeaSFor4033d ago

been a member since the first day, i didnt even had a "rubbish" month since the beggining, sure there's discounts or games i dont necessarily HAD to get, but to call it "rubbish" would be simply ingrate and out of touch with reality, i am well aware that not ALL GAMES are made for my taste....but i wont spit in the soup and then call it "rubbish" too.

Sandmano4032d ago (Edited 4032d ago )

I got it the first day. Compared to the second year First year plus was RUBBISH!!!! Stupid mini games and games that people already had so out of touch with reality ? No it's fact that the first year was rubbish compared to the second.0

Europe has it awesome for PS Plus.

Sony of America seriously need to try and get all those nice titles.

HarryMasonHerpderp4033d ago

America get everything else though, more games, better prices/deals, everything is almost always on time and they always take priority. PS plus is the only good thing we have on the EU store.

jdktech20104033d ago (Edited 4033d ago )

Ok, then they won't mind when I don't renew my subscription. It sucks you guys don't get better deals and games and all that but if I'm paying hard earned money, I don't want to get shafted by the lackluster content. Granted, we haven't seen what US will get but EU got sleeping dogs, arkham city, ME3, Okami HD, etc. recently while we just caught up and got vanquish (which EU had early last year if I remember right) and demon souls (which is nice even if it's a 4 year old game).

I'm glad you guys are getting good content but it's kinda sorry to pay 50 dollars and get lackluster content. Again, I think PS+ is a good well intentioned service over here in America as we do get free games but I don't believe I will be re upping in June.

Anyway, I would LOVE to have Hitman this month as it's been on my radar for a while. Congrats to you european playstation gamers.

HarryMasonHerpderp4033d ago

America shouldn't get screwed over with PS+ and the EU shouldn't get screwed over with everything else. If i had it my way we would all get the exact same content. There's just so many dumb barriers in the way, I mean if we can make an EU/NA/JPN account no matter what region we live in (Sony must know we do that) then why can't all of the games be available on every store officially?
I'm hoping the Playstation store gets a huge shake up for the PS4 and we get 99% of the same content in every region I'll let that 1% slide lol.

Baka-akaB4033d ago (Edited 4033d ago )

I dont feel you guys are that screwed , you still get good games on us plus that we dont always have or wont have immediately .

Hell you still had Demon's Souls , super street fighter 4 AE , Borderlands , King of Fighters XIII and Spec Ops while some of the neat EU stuff are also popular games than many of us already had .

If anything your list made me think it's absolutely vital to have both accounts in plus

Sharius4033d ago

what if i tell you:

you can alway creat an EU account, buy plus member through prepaid card, download the game and switch to your main acc and play

HarryMasonHerpderp4033d ago

It's a great idea for the PS3, but the Vita not so much.
There are games on the US store that I REALLY want such as Dino Crisis 2, Legend of dragoon, Parasite Eve, Xenogears, Chrono Cross and so on. Problem is I want them for my Vita since they're ten times easier on the eyes on a small screen, Sony though decided we can only have 1 account on the Vita and it's also restricted to the memory card you use and switching accounts is a HUGE pain in the ass to be honest. You have to restart the Vita to factory settings and have an extra memory card to do so. It sucks! >_<

Baka-akaB4033d ago

It does suck but at least it's still possible . I usually just stick a whole month with either a jap or eu account before switching

Salooh4033d ago

@HarryMasonHerpderp
It is possible because i'm doing it. I'm playing Ninja gaiden right now on vita. but when i'm done i will transfer the game to the pc and then restore the vita and get in europe account again. It's that simple but still annoying as hell ...

MadLad4033d ago

I will give you this one.
Just grabbed on Steam for ten bucks.
Thought that one was a steal. Still do, but you still win this round.

I'm eager to see what the Vita titles are

Looking Back At 2008, An Unbelievably Incredible Year Of Video Game Releases

Huzaifa from eXputer: "2008 was home to the likes of Call of Duty: World at War, Dead Space, GTA 4, Far Cry 2, Left 4 Dead, and many other hits, which is outright remarkable."

CrimsonWing692h ago

I don’t think anything can compare to 2023

lucasnooker2h ago

1998 - the best year in gaming! Metal gear solid, crash bandicoot 3, medievil, half life, ocarina of time, thief, tenchu, resident evil 2, Spyro, tomb raider 3, oddworld abes exodus, banjo kazooie.

It was a different breed of a gaming era. You’ll never understand what it was like back then. The aura of gaming, it was different!

KyRo1h ago(Edited 1h ago)

I second this. Gaming was a lot more varied and fun than it is today. I'm 35 so getting on compared to some here but I got to see all the changes from NES up to now but I've never felt so disappointed in any generation than I have this current gen. I was expecting more from this generation rather than prettier versions of games that came before it. Game mechanics have become so refined that alot of games feel the same and has done for a while now.

Maybe it's time to have a break for a while. I love gaming but I don't feel I get much fun in the traditional sense out of it anymore.

Metal Gear Solid, Resident Evil 2, Abe’s Exodus, and Ocarina of Time are the only things from that list that I liked.

Here’s the 2023 game releases that I personally liked… and big releases that I didn’t care for:

- Dead Space Remake
- Wo Long Dynatsy
- Resident Evil 4 Remake
- Diablo 4
- Fire Emblem Engage
- Hogwarts Legcay
- Street Fighter 6
- Hi-Fi Rush
- Like a Dragon: Ishin
- Octopath Traveler 2
- Final Fantasy Pixel Remasters
- Final Fanatsy XVI (actually ended up not liking this, but it was still a big deal release)
- Baldur’s Gate 3
- Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon
- Lies of P
- Mortal Kombat 1
- Marvel’s Spider-Man 2
- Starfield (Ended up hating this one, but big release)
- Super Mario Bros. Wonder
- Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom (I’m an old-school Zelda fan, but didn’t really enjoy this game)
- Alan Wake 2

I mean, honestly I’ve never seen a year of major IP releases like that, ever.

6 Fun Games Where You Actually Play As The Bad Guy

While the mainstream media always sees things turning in favor of the hero, here are 6 games that own being a bad guy.

Profchaos7h ago

Pretty much all of these games listed are based around a morality system you don't have to be bad and you don't have to be good.

It seems to have left out some real amazing games like red dead redemption 1/2,ass effect and true crime la/ny

Tacoboto7h ago

Armored Core VI?

Ok, I'm really missing something here. Just beat chapter 3 earlier this evening, unlocked A-rank Arena fights. I'm not seeing or sensing any branching paths or morality system and I've done every side mission and arena fight available to me up to that fight.

Is something big coming soon to branch the story?

banger886h ago

No mention of Grand Theft Auto? Saints Row (original trilogy), Manhunt? Also The Suffering (depending on the ending you get).

I never got around to mass effect - I’m skeptical that it would hold up if I were to try it now

Furesis1d ago

I would say it does. The combat is a bit shit for todays standards but everything else is great.

anast22h ago

It's worth a play through today.
