I don't believe this crap is happening again! Bethesda is run by a bunch of college drop-outs who can't code for nothing! Seriously, why don't they just hire some extra coders who have actual skills?

Thanks for warning us in advance with this article.

You do know most developers never went to collage right? Most of the guys that work on God Of War haven't.

NegativeCreepWA4032d ago

They have no skill, but yet no other dev has ever made a game like TES or Fallout better than them.

violents4032d ago

So if you make a pile of crap you get to be proud of it because no one else has crapped bigger than you?

DonkeyWalrus4031d ago

@violents

You obviously haven't seen that episode of South Park...

NegativeCreepWA4031d ago

Not one Bethesda game is a pill of crap, if they were millions of people wouldn't be investing a few hundred hours of their lives into playing them.

ninjahunter4032d ago (Edited 4032d ago )

You say that as if its easy to develope an open dynamic game. Every single time you change one piece of code it affects dozens of others that affect dozens of others and so on. Change the duration of days in the game? Suddenly the entire weather system no longer works, NPC's dont follow schedules correctly, and a slew of other things. This isnt like developing killzone where you just say "if player grabs X item unlock next corridor" there are literally hundreds of times more variables to take into consideration than the derp fest that is modern games.

mydyingparadiselost4032d ago

Credit is definately deserved for developing a varied and interesting open world but at the same time alot of these glitches and bugs are so easily noticed after downloading and installing that it's ridiculous. Would you notice a lack of experience being built up if you were play testing something, let alone some of the other obvious things that bethesdas patches have broken? I know things happen and not everything can be taken into account but if it's going to be every patch needs a patch to fix the patch then maybe the game just shouldn't have been made at all...

diepdiep4032d ago (Edited 4032d ago )

I've always had a habit of making tons of saves files in Oblivion. I still haven't played Skyrim, but I guess keeping countless save files is a necessity for this game as well.

GreenRanger4032d ago

Looks like the Legendary skills aren't so Legendary.

Godmars2904032d ago

Legendarily broken maybe.

Actually, how's Fallout 3 for bugs. been sitting on the PS3 GOTY edition meaning to play.

mrkeith4032d ago

Fallout 3 is fine. I had no issues with it.

WorldGamer4032d ago

There are some issues with Fallout 3 man. Keep some backup saves just in case. Great game tho, typical Bethesda bs tho.

TheSaint4032d ago

Make sure you install it on the hard drive correctly.

You honestly have to fret over the damn game like to make it work right?

You were all expecting Bethesda to release something bug free??

Jyndal4032d ago

Be ready.
I have a feeling this is only the tip of the iceberg as far as this update goes.

I'm Replaying Skyrim (again), and So Should You

Replaying Skyrim after 13 years is a reminder of the progress made in western RPGs over the last decade, but also what's been lost.

anast18d ago

I tried, but it's a poorly made game that insults its customers.

lucian22918d ago

nah, only mods make it decent, and even then it's bad, and this is after i modded for at least 3 years

Nittdarko18d ago

Funnily enough, I'm about to play it for the first time in VR with 1000 mods to make the game playable, as is the Bethesda way

The 7 Best Western RPGs: Immersive Adventures

RPGs are often huge, sprawling endeavours. With limited playtime, we have to choose wisely, so here's the best western RPGs available today.

SimpleSlave18d ago

"I started playing games yesterday" the List... Meh!

How about a few RPGs that deserve some love instead?
1 - Alpha Protocol - Now on GOG
2 - else Heart.Break()
3 - Shadowrun Trilogy
4 - Wasteland 2
5 - UnderRail
6 - Tyranny
7 - Torment: Tides of Numenera

And for a bonus game that flew under the radar:
8 - Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden

DustMan18d ago

Loved Alpha Protocol in all it's glorious jank. Great game.

SimpleSlave18d ago (Edited 18d ago )

Not only glorious jank, but the idea that the story can completely change depending on what you do, or say, or side with, makes it one of the most forward thinking games ever. The amount of story permutation is the equivalent of a Hitman level but in Story Form. And it wasn't just that the story changed, no, it was that you met completely new characters, or missed them, depending on your choices. Made Mass Effect feel static in comparison.

Alpha Protocol was absolutely glorious, indeed. And it was, and still is, more Next Gen than most anything out there these days. In this regard at least.

Pity.
