Cities in Motion 2 Is A Job… Then You Crash

Cities in Motion 2 is a mass transit simulation game. It’s basically “SimCity : Crack Whore Edition”, which is to say shittier graphics, a subset of gameplay, with digital syphilis.

When you start playing Cities in Motion 2, you’re already given a city. Your job is to build buses, trams, metros, etc… and place pickup stops at key locations in the city so that the virtual Sims, caught in a virtual rat-race of the standard work-home cyclical depressive loop we call “making a living”, can get to their jobs, their homes, and their places to drink their sorrows to oblivion.

This is kind of an unfair review. I don't think Cities in Motion ever tried to sell itself as a SimCity alternative, but the reviewer is docking it points for not letting you build an entire city like SimCity. I understand not liking a game for its premise, disliking its gameplay, or running into bugs, but there's no reason to start the review by insulting it with a crack at how its worse than a different type of game.

"SimCity is basically a crap version of Civilization V where you can only control a single city and don't have any units." That makes about as much sense as the opening volley here. Just my two cents, but not a particularly good review.

Someone should remade Transport Tycoon, give it stellar graphics and good multiplayer. Granted, it was like 20 years ago but i loved this game.
