New Pokémon X & Pokémon Y Legendary Pokémon Trailer

Pokémon X and Pokémon Y launch worldwide in October, and today, the mysteries of the newest Pokémon titles continue to grow with the further reveal of a Pokémon that is strangely familiar to Legendary Pokémon Mewtwo. Having made its debut in screenshots last week, today we see this new Pokémon in action in a brand new video.

Not a big fan of the new Mewtwo but I'm loving the new in-battle Pokemon models. They look a lot like the Pokedex 3D ones which is a good thing in my book

Pokemon needs a MMO. Legendaries would end up being more valuable that way.

Moncole4030d ago

They would probably make Legendaries bosses of dungeons and no one can catch them

arjman4030d ago

PokeMMO has what you seek although last time I checked they didn't have legendaries implemented.

To be honest I prefer having legendaries in my own game as it would be nigh on impossible to capture a legendary in an MMO environment.

Wenis4030d ago

They'll most likely never make an official pokemon mmo. Nintendo needs the version games on their handhelds, as Pokemon games are the main reason why tons of people buy gameboys/DS' etc. Having an MMO wouldnt make sense from a business perspective.. and the pokemon company has shown they are all about business..

Does anyone know if the pokemon now actually say their names?!

I sure hope so!

Wenis4030d ago

I hope so too but i doubt it.. its only really the anime that they say their names, just so they can 'communicate' more clearly in the TV format

kirbyu4030d ago

That's not true. They also do so in some of the spinoffs and Smash Bros.

krontaar4030d ago

They're monsters, they arent supposed to talk like humans.

Guess you guys are right. I just thought, just like it added to the anime, it would add a little cool simplicity to the game as well. It's always been a little desire to hear the pokemon when you send them out rather than garbled, 8 bit sounds lol :p

Thanks!

tigertron4030d ago

Tell that to TR's Meowth.

CourierSix4029d ago

Yeah it would be nice, I find myself thinking that each pokemon sounds so similar and there is little difference between their cries, where in the anime it so good and they're so easily distinguished.

Erimgard4030d ago

This video was posted the same day as the screenshots

Can anyone confirm if these versions of pokemon have all the original pokemon in them?

would not like to jump through hoops to get the pokemon I know and love.

Making Pokémon 3D Was A Mistake

Pokémon’s shift to 3D was a big mistake, as the series’ roots in 2D design make it difficult to transfer important game mechanics into a 3D overworld.

why do other games pull off 3D monster collecting JRPG games just fine? Look at Jade Cocoon and Shin Megami Tensei for examples.

Answer should be obvious.

No other videogame franchise is as merchandise driven as Pokémon

Nintendo 3DS Games We Still Love Playing Even Today

BLG writes: "While it didn’t sell as well as the Nintendo DS, the Nintendo 3DS was nonetheless a wonderful system. And, while this may be a hot take, it’s easily my favorite handheld. Even more than a decade removed from launch, the system’s library has so many titles that feel as fresh today as they did back at release. While it was hard to narrow down, these 30 Nintendo 3DS games are emblematic of the system’s success."

When Will The Pokemon Company Introduce a New Typing?

The Pokemon Company has a solid thing going right now. Well, it’s been going on for a while, actually, but it has been a while since a new typing has been introduced to the popular monster-taming series. The latest one, Fairy type, was introduced back in Generation VI (Pokemon X & Y), so it does seem like it is time to bring in a new one. Check out Jason Capp's article for more.
