Wow, not a single game there interest me, ff3 being the highest contender.

Not good.

Really what were you expecting from a $99.99 android console? this is for people that love fruit ninja and angry birds not for people that like uncharted and god of wars...

I said the same thing about the Vita and its a $299.99 handle made for people that like uncharted and god of war.

Sandmano4036d ago (Edited 4036d ago )

Well not really there are a lot of casual games on the vita, heck the LBP community levels are enough on their own.

FamilyGuy4035d ago (Edited 4035d ago )

I guess I was expecting some games that were more like the psn and xbox arcade titles to be on there with those cell phone games, ones like: Bloodrayne Betrayal, Shatter, Scott Pilgrim vs the world the game, Raiden Project type games. I mean c'mon, it has an N64 emulator, it could definitely support better games than these. Old school snes type games at least.

Needs more devs.

Not that I'm interested in getting the console, but I'm pretty sure you'll be able to get games such as Shadowgun, NOVA, RR3, and a few more later on the Ouya. Those games will satisfy the hardcore crowd who are not willing to dish out a bit more for a Sony or a MS console.

CommonSenseGamer4036d ago

Certainly no big must have titles however, still some fun to be had in between some bigger games on other consoles. Be interested to see if Ouya gets Dead Trigger, Modern Combat 4, the upcoming Dungeon Hunter 4 and Zen Pinball.

I used to hate the idea of the Ouya and thought it was pointless, but now I might just buy one because of all the emulators that will be coming over. A full library of Neo Geo titles would be awesome.

I had the LaserActive... it was a nice collectors piece but not very practical. Especially when it came to needing recapping. I think i paid all of about $50 for the floor model from an incredible Universe back in the day. I ended up selling it many years later for $300 at the time due to it needing a new laser and the aforementioned recapping.

An honorable mention not on the list would be the VM Labs Nuon. It basically looked like any regular DVD player but it had ports on it for controllers to play specific games. one of which is still exclusive to it with Tempest 3000. It also offered nuon enhanced DVD movies with extra content not accessible by regular players.

Wasn't there some KFC console, or am I mistaken?

It was announced but it never actually came out as far as I know

How has this article missed out Sega's Dreamcast and Nintendo's Wii U, two consoles that were actually superb devices in their own right, but were seen as failed due to lacklustre sales at the time of release?

Knightofelemia1579d ago

Wonder how long before Stadia appears on the list surprised the Ngage is not on that list

william_cade1579d ago (Edited 1579d ago )

I enjoy these kinds of articles.

Talk about a blast to the past.......I remember trying the virtual boy at Toy R Us and it was cool but I did feel slightly disoriented afterwards......good article.

That's pretty cool they were able to bring it back. It sucks when something online only gets killed.

I got mine when it first launched, however it wasn't good for anything other than retro emulation. I couldn't sell the thing fast enough. Managed to get almost all my money back selling it on eBay.

Just let go homies. It was DOA

JEECE1610d ago

I guess the Stadia launch is bringing back memories of other failed consoles/services.
