that's actually a pretty sweet deal.
I still wish amazon would renew their $20 credit for buying new games, but 1600 ms points is pretty cool.

hopefully, i can get a good arcade game with this.

lastofgen4035d ago

don't know why you got two disagrees for what you said, but 1600 ms points sounds pretty good too.

Pope_Kaz_Hirai_II4035d ago (Edited 4035d ago )

As long as they dont announce exclusive dlc for a year I dont care if they offer 50000 points

KaBaW4035d ago

They actually do this for a lot of games.
Seems better to order from them than Amazon, anymore.

The_Blue4035d ago

Sounds like they know DLC is coming for GTAV

TekoIie4034d ago

Only thing that sucks about this is its US only :(

I'd rather get the superior PC version that comes with free mods & better textures.

Gravitic4034d ago

GTA + PC = Superior Version? They are awful ports, GTA4 was a pile of festering unoptimised shite.

FlameHawk4035d ago

I doubt anyone will do that. I would rather go to a store and get it day 1 rather than waiting for it.

Lvl_up_gamer4035d ago (Edited 4035d ago )

Well this is just basically competing against sites like Amazon.

Many people like to save money usually at the cost of having to wait a few days for shipping.

This is targeted to that crowd that would like $20 worth of MS points to put towards DLC or other games just for waiting a couple days.

NeverEnding19894034d ago

Really? I'd much rather take the $20 bonus and get it day 2 or 3.

Microsoft's own store?? :(

I admit I like my Playstation more than my Xbox 360, but if this deal were to be on retail stores too, i would seriously not even think about the PS3 version, and just get the Xbox 360 version and take advantage of this awesome deal (granted Microsft would lose millions of money, but would have more sales for the 360 version).

guitarded774035d ago

Well, they can do it because it's $15 worth of credit to the user, but it works out as MUCH less for MS. Plus, they get to show it as a loss on their taxes. It probably comes out as them losing nothing in the end. Corporations have really savvy accounting people, so they can do stuff like this. If it does cost them something, it's marked up as advertising money.

GenericNameHere4035d ago

Isn't 1600 MS Points $20??

I hope MS does this for retailers too. It'd be sweet to buy GTAV, then see you get 1600 MS Points, which you can use on the Season Pass if there is one, buy San Andreas on Live, or whatever you want.

My bad... $20. My statement still stands.

More interested in money than giving fans what they want. Such a shame

CrimsonWing694h ago

With the amount of money they generated, I just don’t understand the scrubbing of this. It would’ve been fantastic for fans.

Profchaos2h ago

I really want to know who drove the decision to focus on multiplayer was it Rockstar or take two.

Because when online started taking off many of the studio leads began having falling outs and leading including a founder

This makes me sad. Trevor was one of my favourite characters in gaming
