IMHO it will be better because no ALWAYS ONLINE option. That in itself makes it 100x better.

I do like what they're saying. Diablo 2 was one of the first games I really got into and I was really looking forward to this game before it came out. I'm still not really sure what the problems were that bothered people but I've liked what I've seen so far from Diablo 3.

I think what people hated about the game was:

shit story
always online
shit items
lagggggg
servers down

Tho 3 of those negatives will be taken away with the console version :D.

Well the story in Diablo never really grabbed me to begin with, but hearing about bad loot is worrisome. The whole purpose of that game is to kill monsters for loot. Story, levels, boss fights, they're all just icing; the look is the cake. I guess I'll just have to wait and see.

Don't forget the complete loss of attribute and skill points.

In D3 every character is the exact same as every of other character of that class and level except for what gear they're wearing. That's what killed it for me.

I'm excited. I didn't buy it originally because I only have a extremely worn out laptop that can't take anything so this will be great. I don't care for whatever hate people have for this game, I did try the beta and I know this is a game I can sink my teeth in and play for a long time.

What exactly is Playstation Live lmao?

Somebody4032d ago

A lot of, if not all, of the console only features the guy said can easily be applied to the PC version. Dodge, bob-and-weave, direct control. He's talking as is you can't play a PC game like a console version when you plug in a controller.

I can easily switch between KBM and an X Box 360 control scheme when playing Bastion. Blizzard on the other hand thinks it's impossible.

The only exclusive feature PC gamers are stuck with is the always online DRM. Hard to get excited or proud about that.

Cyberpunk and No Man's Sky have to be up there. We're lucky and cursed, equally, to have games that can be updated now. For folks old enough to remember the Sega/SNES into PS1 and even 2 eras, if a game came out that was half baked (*cough*Angel of Darkness*cough*) that was it, no redemption. At the same time, having the option for updates shouldn't be an excuse for half assing games.

thorstein79d ago

I remember when the Nintendo Seal of Approval meant something.

All those games had to release without bugs.

Comebacks shouldnt be a thing in videogames. Just saying.

Diablo III - Still a Huge Draw in the Face of Diablo IV

Diablo III still works on modern PlayStation and Xbox consoles, and remains hugely playable a decade after initial release.

Palitera388d ago

Are you comparing a continuously improved 10+ years old masterpiece with the... beta of an unreleased game?

kevco33387d ago

Heh, yeah. There's no comparison in here! Its a commentary on how III is still very playable over a decade later.
