-Ok, I'll just say it Bioshock Infinite Is a Ten-
Is the cloud in the sky real? Can you see it. Of course not but if you're playing a videogame called Bioshock Infinite then yes, the answer is Yes you can indeed see it. And yes the city in the sky is Real.
FORGET - the other reviews - Just FORGET them.. This is the only review you need! -because it comes from a gamer who actually plays games, and OMG! What we have here, is one of the best videogames ever made, if you don’t like this game maybe it’s time you just be honest with yourself - you just don’t like video games anymore -Because this is one hell of a video-game.
Kevin Levine did it! He has done it again, Kevin Levine has made one amazing Masterpiece, if you loved the first bioshock then this is your game..
(Sure there is a team behind him and they are amazing too, but, it’s his vision -he nails it- he nails what gamers tend to love about his games) Its fun right off the back, and the whole thing is like a crazy roller-coaster ride.. It starts off slow as you start to go up and up and up and even as it slows down as you get to the top of the coaster, and even when the game misses a step it doesn’t matter because it’s still slowly going up, and once it gets to the top you know what happens next. Well you do if you have ever been on a roller-coaster ride before.
-You guessed it, you hold on for your dear life as it starts to fly back down and turns and twist and scares the living daylight out of you... Bioshock Infinite is that good.
Should you buy this game, Of Course! - Owning this game is a right of passage, You become a True Gamer... It says you understand that when a game this good comes out, -YOU BUY IT- you don’t rent it, you don’t borrow it from your friend you BUY THIS GAME... Because a true gamer knows supporting a good game is what gaming is all about. This is how Amazing Games get made...
A world like we have never seen in a video game before, something so amazing that it takes your breathe away and leaves you with your mouth on the floor. Why? well because it’s done so well and that it is actually believable, that’s Bioshock Infinite real magic trick. (making a world that can’t possibly be real, feel like it’s a real place and time that did exist at one point in time..) -Because they have done the magic trick so well.-
That’s what all games are trying to do, it’s the difference between your game selling a few hundred thousand copies or having a game that sells a few millions copies.. The difference is how well did you pull off your magic trick?
-And in gaming the magic trick is, can you get the gamer to drink the Koolaid.. Meaning, can you make that person even if it’s for just a second believe, believe in the game world? Can you get them to invest there time, Because if game developers can pull that off, then you the gamer fall into the game world and you suddenly feel the need to save the princess so to speak.
Bioshock does all of this very well and more.. They get you to not only believe, but they make you understand the journey. They get you to feel excited and scared with amazing feel.. Bioshock Infinite is like a roller-coaster ride. -but not the one you're thinking about, it’s like the kind of roller-coaster ride that you never want to end. It’s the one you never knew would be so good.
I love this Quote from in the Game -
”The Mind of the Subject will desperately struggle to create memories were none exist...”
-Barriers to Trans-Dimensional Travel, -R. Letece 1889
Just think about that for a second. -This is the beauty of Bioshock Infinite, which is clearly a statement in reference to Elizabeth’s powers in the game and her ability to open a tear in time and space.
Ladies and Gentlemen this is a game that you experience, not just play. I found nothing in Bioshock that I didn't like, the game is done really, really well, Elizabeth is Amazing and done just right..
For a game that could have gone wrong so many times, because the ambition of the team making this is so high, they seem to have nailed what is a great gaming experience.
Ladies and Gentlemen Bioshock Infinite is a TEN. A perfect 10/10 that's all you really need to know..
--Questions and Answers-- People wanted to know-----
1. - Is there new game plus?
(not sure what this means, maybe you mean can you start a new game with out deleting the current like in God Of War ascension - No you can't do this it will delete your current save)
2. - chapter select option?
(yes there is a Chapter select)
3. - any more cool scripted/set piece moments
(yes)
4. - Campaign length?
(Not sure of the exact length but have no fear it's long - I played 3 hours straight yesterday and I'm not even half way, of course I did a lot of stop and look at this along the way..) -But it's a good length you can tell that from the pace in which things are happening.
5. - Replay value? (different playstyles/tactics possible,
(indeed yes but not as big as in other games like Crysis 3 your path has exploration but it is a set path, not really another way to get there.) So there is Replay value but only if you want to play it harder, not for trying new paths because path is straight forward really. But it's a lot of fun so I could see myself playing again.
6. - different paths through levels?
(No not really, you can move to the left side or right side but it's all going in the set path)
7 - Any hub areas or larger area to explore?
(No it really on the rails but you can still forget to explore stuff and pass an area that might have something you left behind, coins, gun ammo, new perk juice) The Maps are pretty big so you could pass a room or something but its large enough that exploring is fun. So yes large areas to explore but on a set path.
8 - Any sidequests?
(No again you are on a set path -but the game is very long)
9 - How is 1999 mode different from regular Hard mode?
(I have not tried this mode yet, so not sure, I will have to get back to you on that, but I can tell you hard mode just means you die a lot more because battles are really harder when you get to the middle of the game.) Medium might seem too easy at first but it gets tougher later on - hard on those parts are going to be really frustrating because you will die a lot more..
10. - Is it really that good..?
(Yes the game is amazing, I'm really enjoying it, more then I have enjoyed any other game I played this year.. it's a lot of fun once you get going) Loving the game. -You just have to be careful playing with the setting because a bad move there and mess up the whole feel of the game... if your screen size is just a little smaller it makes a big difference in feel, and putting that lock frame-rate thing on, is big too -again changing the feel of the player, which is crazy -(nice to have the option but crazy because it can mess up the whole feel of the game)
BioShock Infinite launched 10 years ago today, but even now holds up as a hugely inspiring videogame world.
Still consider it the weakest in the series by a decent margin. Not bad, was just expecting more.
The dlc was pretty damn good though.
Not better than the first 2 IMO. And this is a nitpick but it bummed me out that they scrapped the cosmetic changes to your guns as you upgraded them. First 2 had that so why scrap it in the third?
2013’s Bioshock Infinite is a flawed gem. But even ten years on, its triumphs outweigh its missteps.
GF365: "Certain games cannot be understood with just one playthrough. Like certain films and books – such as Stanley Kubrick’s 2001: A Space Odyssey and Fyodor Dostoyevsky’s Crime and Punishment – there are complex games that you should play more than once to fully understand. I thoroughly believe that video games are an art form, and the entries on this list are prime examples of modern art."
I never got to play Spec Ops and I have had it for years. I'm gonna finally try it

I just beat bioshock infinite on 1999 mode on pc on my first playthrough and it's not as hard as kz2 elite was(and there's harder games than kz2 lol) There should have been a horde mode multi with tons of skylines to jump from and a multi mode where players race each on skylines to the comstock house while shooting each other. Nice review.
I personally don't think this game was anywhere near as fun as the previous games and therefore I couldn't give it anywhere near a 10. I was quite disappointed with it myself. It was fun but it was missing something that the others offered.
i agreed with every thing you said
very good review

"10.0
Graphics Really a stunner, when you consider everything it does, huge world - Amazing roller-coaster riding, At times it blows you away, sometimes it falls short (apples at the store) but if you look at how much is done so well, that out weighs the little miss steps. exceptionally done really well visuals"
not talking about pc version here (pc version look incredible on my pc)
i'm talking about ps3 version (the best version on consoles)
the gfx are no way a 10/10 on consoles more like 7 or 8 max
the amount of low textuers in this game is incredible
UE3 engine is not helping this game at all
the NPC's models are some of the lazy work i have ever seen
the fact that i keep see guys standing next to each other all looking the same with very low textures on theor faces and bodys
and other things
this game are not on the same level as uncharted 3, God Of War Ascension , the last of us, beyond
