title should be "The 25 Wii U games"

Neonridr4037d ago (Edited 4037d ago )

25 games is more than either the 360 or PS3 had in 4 months on the market funny guy.

SilentNegotiator4037d ago (Edited 4037d ago )

"Sit on it!" (lol fonz) That's only true because Wii U got a bunch of old ports.

jcnba284037d ago

When the PS3 was 1 year old, it only had 33 games. The Wii U is not even 6 months old and it already has over 45 games on the market.

MrWonderful4037d ago

I agree with your statement of the number of games but you also have to remember the wii u is getting alot of ports of games the other consoles have already had. The thing to be excited about is whats in nintendos pipeline that we should see more of at e3

Godchild10204037d ago (Edited 4037d ago )

The PS3 and 360 may have had less games in the same time frame, but the move from SD to HD is not the same for the Wii U for Developers (Maybe Nintendo) as it was for developers at the beginning of the seventh Gen.

It's also easier to developer for the Wii U, than it was for the PS3 at the time of release.

SilentNegotiator4037d ago (Edited 4037d ago )

How many of those are ports of old games? Ps3 didn't have XX last gen ports in its first 5 months, either.

PopRocks3594037d ago

@SilentNegotiator

I think that's because developers were initially struggling with the hardware at the time. Some of the ports you saw on the PS3 were actually slightly to significantly worse than their 360 counterparts. Games like Skyrim come to mind, for example.

I think the exclusives they marketed for it were Resistance and Ridge Racer. There may have been a couple of others, but their titles escape me at the moment.

How about I give you 25 kicks to the balls?

kungfuian4037d ago (Edited 4037d ago )

given the wii u's current state I could see how u guys saw my comment as an attack but the truth is it's way too early to have a best of list for the Wii U. also I own every single home console ever made by nintendo and will get a Wii U when they release a new Metroid or Mario Galaxy :)

Wii U games that still haven't been ported to Switch

The Nintendo Switch is potentially nearing its lifespan, and several Wii U games haven't found their way over as ports yet.

I think it's better to leave games like AC: Amiibo Festival and Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash forgotten on the Wii U. Best case, they are mediocre games; worse case, they are very bad. It was a dark time for the Wii U, and the first only exists to sell Amiibo cards, whereas the second was put together in a couple of months with a shoestring budget, and it shows.

The rest of the list does have some really cool games, though. I would love to see a remake of Star Fox Zero with decent controls, and Xenoblade X doesn't require that much modification to work.

How would XCX work without dual screens functionality?

Cacabunga3d ago

Same as Paper Mario color splash. One of the best wiiu games and getting even better with dual screen. Same reason why i prefer Splatoon 1

This article leaves out Nintendo's most controversial game to date devils Third.
I personally found the cover system really fun in that one compared to at the time most fps games completely lacking one.

Stevonidas3d ago

Devil's Third is HIGHLY underrated.

repsahj3d ago

They should remake Starfox to the switch 2. Very beautiful game during gamecube days.

Chocoburger3d ago

Kirby is always ignored or forgotten by people, so good to see it mentioned here.
Play Kirby Canvas Curse on DS, and then play Rainbow Curse on Wii U, they're really fun and unique 'platformers' without any actual jumping.
