Aliens: Colonial Marines is no longer headed to Wii U. A SEGA representative provided the following statement to IGN:

"SEGA can confirm that the Wii U sku of Aliens: Colonial Marines is no longer in development."

Yeah, a good version of the game would have been great.

I guess whatever they had could not be salvaged OR maybe it is just the Bad Press is going to = low sale regardless of how good the wiiU version may be.

I thought it would have been smart for them to have tweaked the engine and just made the game better.

With the amount of work already put into it, surely they could have moved it up the scale at least 3 spaces.

Well - Can't say I'm dissapointed. I hate the First-Person Shooter genre - But that isn't completely the reason why I'm happy.

It's a terrible game, end of. I, like many others, want third-party games on the Wii U, no doubt about it. BUT - that isn't to say people want ANY third-party games on the Wii U. Shovelware is shovelware. Doesn't belong anywhere. If the game is garbage, whether it counts as "third-party support" or not - keep it away.

The Wii U version is the best version of the game because Wii U owners wont be able to suffer the horrors of this garbage.

But imagine the poor PS3, XBOX360 and PC owners who had to go through this terrible game.
