Frontburnr:, I was extremely fortunate when I was younger. My youth was considered the golden age of the RPG. While Final Fantasy reigned supreme, there was always a smorgasbord of amazing titles at my fingertips. As I grew older, some of these good games got better with age and experiences that could surpass these classics became harder to find. In this day and age, there are only a few games from the successful franchises left standing.
I GAVE IT SOME THOUGHT AND REALIZED, “YOU KNOW WHAT? THESE 10 RPG SERIES NEED TO MAKE A COMEBACK!”
The Nerd Stash: “The letter scene in Grandia is a magnificent, layered early example of the game's wonderful NPC interactions, and a real tear-jerker.”
NE: "EarthBound fans got lots of news in 2024, but a Mother 3 localization wasn't part of it. We talk whether it's possible with pros and cons."
Pro: More people getting to experience a game they weren't able to before.
Con: Hearing either Lucas or Ness yell "PK fire" ever again.
IGN writes: Mother 3 is one of the most hotly-desired RPGs ever, having never received an official translation in North America despite the cult popularity of its predecessor, Earthbound. But over all these years, series creator Shigesato Itoi has never weighed in on the discussion - at least until now."
I want Jade Cocoon to come back. :(
Needs more Lufia.
Seriously? The fact that Legend of Dragoon is not this list is a travesty here.
I really miss the D&D rpgs :(
Dark Cloud. Seriously does anyone remember those games? They were seriously amazing. Especially DC2. And props to them for mentioning Wild Arms. I still remember that game had the catchiest theme song like ever...
