The Best Music of Persona 3 and 4

Despite an ardent eccentricity and wild tone, the soundtracks to both latter Persona games are beloved for their individuality. No other JRPG sports music like these two do, and Shoji Meguro deserves to be commended for his fantastic work with the series. Enjoy this taste of the best tracks from both games.

In the works. SMT IV is coming soon, so I can only assume P5 is on the horizon.

Man, Shoji Meguro is a composing beast.

They're working on the game now. So, give it some time, either way it's definitely coming and it's definitely a pre-order.

That being said, various questions remain unanswered. Console availability? Same character engine as Catherine? Thematic changes? Only time will tell, and it's looking like the wait's gonna be a bit longer, unless we get an out of the blue announcement this year, which could happen.

Snookies124038d ago

@DJjazzyGeth - I'd love if they announced it at E3. That is one game I simply cannot wait for!

DJjazzyGeth4038d ago

Same! I'd be worried that Atlus is still a little too niche to get an announcement on stage at a press conference, but it'd be a nice to see an unveiling. Especially since I'll be going this year.

Blank4038d ago

Best question I heard all month in this website! I have been dying for more updates direct from Atlus on persona 5 for TOO LONG! Last time was just confirmation they are developing on it which was like a year or two ago? But on topic I love all the work of Shoji Meguro! That man is a genius!

So, basically, just both soundtracks?
Seriously, I listen to those soundtracks in my car they're so good.

They are making an in house engine for P5, the very reason it had took so long.

Donnieboi4038d ago (Edited 4038d ago )

My favorite songs in p4 were "new world fool" and "corridor". I'm not saying they Are the best, but they really captured the emotions of those scenes.

Check them out on youtube.

I prefer "ill face myself -Battle-" and "Fog". but i love Shoji Meguro.

Persona 3 Director Says The Game Saved Atlus From Collapsing

The studio was on the verge of collapse when Persona 3 came out, and things were looking quite grim for Atlus. Regardless, many decisions made in the game paid off and became a staggering success.

Years ago, I was emulating the game on my laptop and the old thing died when I was about to get to the final boss. I'm more than happy to buy this remake when it comes out so I can finish it!

TheColbertinator234d ago (Edited 234d ago )

At the time I was immersed in SMT Nocturne and later DDS. I did not realize at all how important Persona would become for me years later.

Persona 3 FES was the first one that I played in the series. Looking forward to the remake.

What's better 3 or 4 Golden? I played 4, but haven't played 3

GoodGuy09320d ago

I preferred Golden and unfortunately haven't beaten 3 as it's pretty hard to go back to it. I do know some points of the story etc though and have always heard most people liked the story in 3 better.

This remake will be perfect for me if true. And hopefully combines FES and portable's content.

VersusDMC319d ago

Prefer the story, characters and soundtrack in P3. Wait for the remake to play it as the PS2 originals don't let you control your party members and P3portable(the one that was remastered) is a substantial downgrade visually.

Well we’ve seen the leaked images so it’s coming for sure.

Half-Glass Gaming: "Often considered one of the darker entries in Atlus' Persona series, Persona 3 definitely has a sinister vibe to it, and it leans into horror more than you might realize."
