Why I'm Not Sold On GTA V

I have to agree with you and the article as well, I just feel that Watch_Dogs seems like a new experience and new vibe, it is pretty much like GTA but you can 'hack' which I like, and I feel that another GTA will be like a usual GTA just a different storyline, graphics, vehicles, etc. I will probably pick up Watch_Dogs first and then buy GTA V, but if some gameplay at E3 from GTA might change my mind

GTA 4 sucked compared to VC and SA. BoGT was much better but I'm not sold yet, either. Need to see some gameplay to get me hyped... but I already know I'll get it anyway ...even a bad GTA is better than most games :S

GTA4 got boring after a few hours. Driving across city to each of the missions was annoying. When the game feels like a chore that's when I stop playing. Hope they fix this problem in GTA5.

The way you played it made it "repetitive". If all you did was drive and do missions that was your problem. I would get drunk, bone hoes and play mini games in between missions.

GTA 4 might be a bit heavier than its predecessors but it's the most polished, focused, refined and breathtaking game in the series history, the level of quality is stunning, i still play it to this day, it's also ranked at number 10 most played game on Xbox live recently

@tongkat ...Well I do somewhat agree but the taxis were a pretty good fix for this ... See gta is fairly realistic so they want you to enjoy the little things like jumping the curb and running red lights ... And multiplayer was actually fun for a cpl of months rolling with your bros...

Well I guess that's why there is more than one game on the shelf so you many choices. There has only been 1 game this entire generation so I'm looking forward to the next one. Some people like Vice City while others like San Andreas. This may do to how they could relate to the character or not. For me it was San Andreas.

Now it seems like they are putting all these games into one and making one of the biggest games ever and I can't wait. And I don't feel this series is getting stale. 5 games between 2 generations(including V) is not too much. They are still the top dog of open world games and I have a felling that V will be that way as well. Hell we've had 5 Assassin's Creeds this gen alone. Who's getting stale? Oh well, I guess you need a article about everything these days.

All of the things you named share the same level of quality TO YOU. They're some that actually deserve its huge sales and others that clearly don't.

Its all subjective to the person. Someone will say "Twlight sucks, omg its bad" then someone who is a fan will be like " hahahah, but but sales are awesome". Its a never ending cycle.

Grand Theft Auto along with mario and zelda series are the only games that get universal acclaim, high scores, respect, love and Mega sales, these games are the reason we play games

and besides what's with CoD and JB, people love CoD cause of its addicting gameplay and girls(some guys too) like Justin Bieber, again high sales doesn't always equal quality

Im considering renting GTA 5 after playing every GTA game to date (from the 3rd installment). I know there will be improvements but im not sure they will be enough to warrant my money especially with next gen around the corner. I'd much rather consider getting watchdogs instead as it seems like something original and fresh along with my PS4 purchase.

Some friends and I couldn't be more excited for GTA V even though we play GTA IV on the PC. It's the kind of thing where one of us invites another and another invite someone else etc and before you know, we're all online having a laugh and having fun and shouting down the mic.

GTA IV is also the game I'll jump onto when I fancy a quick killing spree, which is what I've always done with GTA's. Some can argue that Saints Row offers more fun and Just Cause 2 more freedom and while they are great games, GTA just hits all the sweet, satisfying spots for me.

Single player ended up being a bit boring, but free roam/multiplayer was a blast. Some of my funniest gaming moments happened in GTA free roam.

I've already pre-ordered it. Huge and incredibly detailed game world, three playable characters along with the stunning graphics. I don't think there is a game I'm looking forward to more this year
