Gary at TheKoalition.com writes: This week our Editor-in-chief Richard Bailey and Jakejames Lugo (Venomous Fatman) joined us to speak in length about their time at Pax East last week. One of our main discussions came from GDC, where Epic unveiled their Unreal Engine 4. There was tons of controversy when they was asked if the engine would be coming to the Wii U and Epic downplayed the system by letting everybody know Unreal Engine 3 would still be available for Wii U.
With the Wii U unable to take on these new technologies, what does this mean for the future of the console?
Also on this podcast we discuss the Battlefield 4 and Metal Gear Solid V announcements. We also speak on some of the new releases we have been playing such as Bioshock: Infinite and Gears of War: Judgement.
Pax games discussed include:
Last of Us
Injustice
State of Decay
Guacamelee
Kingdom Hearts 1.5
Saints Row IV
And lots more.
"The Game Music Foundation are today very proud and pleased to announce an additional concert, circling back to the roots of Game Muisic Festival in Poland. On April 28th, 2024, the National Forum of Music in Wroclaw will once again become a place to celebrate the art of video game music, featuring scores from The Last of Us and The Last of Us Part II." - The Game Music Foundation.

They are working on something new. Not to be rude but it is impossibility stupid to think ND next major announcement is going to be a remaster or their next Last of Us entry is going to be another remaster.
The team is sad for losing out on such a great project but celebrates its growth because of spending time on it.
All they had to do was make a basic online mode like their previous games. Instead they wanted more money and choose to go live service which makes games worse in my opinion.
What a waste of time and money, what a shame.
Not sure why they didn’t just make Factions 2. There was no need to make it a live service.
TLoU Factions was a great addition such a shame they couldn’t be bothered to remaster that for PS5 considering the crazy high price tag of the remaster of a remaster…
This is something to be celebrated. This studio is smart and they get it, even factions 2 wouldn't've have been worth the time. I am surprised they didn't just remaster the first one though, but actually how popular was Factions?
This is a good podcast about games.
It means that this post is late and Mark Rein is still very busy taking his head out of his own A$$...
"Wii U 'unable' to take on these new technologies", Wii U could handle tech such as Unreal Engine 4. Engine's can be customised to suit the needs of the platform they're being used on. It's not that it's unable to take it on, it's that Epic are unwilling to make their engine work on Wii U.
Well he said people could fit it for the Wii U, but URE3 looks pretty good.
Nintendo has proprietary hardware that companies dont want to take to time to build it for.. But if sony used their own again, devs would.. Nintendo needs to build better relationships or they will stay in the same situation forever.. MS entered the game console market way after nintendo yet has way better support..
