Promises, Promises.
Fair enough, make the single player better than BF3. But whatever you do make sure the multipleyer EPIC!!!

Seriously though, just don't over hype and then under deliver.

... I just want an amazing BATTLEFIELD experience.

Something I felt that Battlefield 3 lacked (DLC extensions not counting).

I loved Battlefield 2 and 1943, and the freedom of play you got with those games.

In BF3,I felt too many levels were too small, too lineair, too much focussed on close-action. There were just a few levels in Battlefield 3 (again, not including the DLC) which very very good, and had that old-skool Battlefield freedom, but levels like Operation Metro and Crossing the Seine just weren't 'Battlefield'.

Yi-Long4035d ago

... Yeah, I think I agree with that. I might like Kharg Island even better.

Operation Firestorm COULD have been much bettter that it currently is, if they would have added 2 flags on the other side of the road. Now it's too lineair, sadly.

AnakinAndretti4035d ago

Not to be a smartass or the typical PC gamer, but they did have 2 more flags on the other side of the road on Operation firestorm

DeadlyFire4035d ago

EA has given us a target if all goes bad we can blame this guy!! They must be trying to innovate again! Run for the Hills!!! haha

To me Battlefield 4 looks to pick up everything Battlefield 3 had and execute it 100 times better. Basically the way Battlefield 3 should have done it will be done in Battlefield 4.

Insomnia_844035d ago

If the game is action packed and has a good story with intense moments like the 17 minute video they showed, then they are on the right direction. I'm not even worried about the multiplayer, I know it will be good.

first1NFANTRY4035d ago (Edited 4035d ago )

Game developers need to stop making promises they can't keep. Just reassure us you will do your best to deliver a memorable and enjoyable experience beyond your last efforts.

As a gamer that's all i could wish for. If my expectations are exceeded that is fantastic and i will be loyal to your company but if you fail, well we all know why.

AngelicIceDiamond4035d ago (Edited 4035d ago )

I agree developers need to quit over promising and just do what they can to make good games instead of just giving us ear candy.

And what Dice really needs to do is stay focused. Danger Closes latest MOH game was a critical and commercial failure due to there obsession with Cod and its sales. So they made a game they "thought" would capture the COD fans.

I even remember EA playing damage control by holding off reviews for the game.

Anyway, It'll be COD VS BF once again. Lol I definitely won't be partaking in that argument. I'll be to distracted with brand new game announcements.

oof464035d ago

It doesn't bother me because it's mostly marketing talk. The part that bothers me is they want to convey human emotion, but it's hard to do that when you're mowing down hundreds and hundreds of guys. That's what made the Bad Company series great. The main characters (and the writers) did not take the action seriously. It was almost like a spoof.

unchartedxplorer4035d ago

Dice you are putting our hopes WAY too high here.........
.....it'll be a real shame if we we're to get disappointed.

Wenis4035d ago

The trailer showed the fugly high-contrast/Brown & grey art style they decided to go with, so I'm already disappointed

something special like unfinished game and microtransaction.

Battlefield 1, Hardline, BF4 Servers Are Being Taken Offline by Cheaters; EA Silent on Issue

Cheaters & hackers have been causing grief on Battlefield 1, Hardline & BF4 servers, with nonstop DDoS attacks among other things. Unfortunately, EA has remained silent about it.

-Foxtrot752d ago

Course they are silent, they are hoping people flock to 2042

gamesftw250751d ago

Maybe it was a inside job then haha.

jeromeface751d ago

wouldnt be the first time, titanfall 1+2 anyone?

PapaBop751d ago

Not even if they paid me.. EA always do this with old games with less money potential, if this was Ultimate Team, they'd address and sort it faster than stories could spread. Why invest time in their products when they will just dump it in the following years? Then again EA never could see the forest for the trees.

Inverno751d ago

I imagine after those games were given out for free a couple months back through Amazon, anything that makes people go to 2042 is a plus for them

XiNatsuDragnel752d ago

They want people to go on 2042. My theory

excaliburps751d ago

Nah. I think they can't do anything about it or they want to sink money into fixing it.

Pudge102888751d ago (Edited 751d ago )

EA owns all BF servers so yes, they can do something about it but they refuse to because they dont want ppl playing their old games instead of the new one. Its EA we’re talking about here

pr33k33751d ago

if this happened in 2042, they'd have something to say. which is weird, considering battlefield 1 has more players on steam right now.

Pudge102888751d ago

Its so obvious that EA is doing this or hired ppl to mess up the games so that we’d be forced to have just 1 Battlefield working.

FPS_D3TH751d ago

Honestly it’s probably the devs themselves. They did an update to bf4 way back that kinda made assault rifles doo doo in hopes that people would flock to BF1 cuz BF4 was too perfect

There's a bunch of great shooters on gamepass; both legacy and new.

A recommendation I have is a work in progress preview title called Anacrusis. It's a lot of fun, and has a cool aesthetic.
