The Failings of the Wii U

its actually not so much doom and gloom, its more legit concerns about a struggling system from someone who owns the system...I bought a wii u a while back and have the exact same concerns as the writer but hopefully the issues with the system will be worked out sooner than later.

my main issue with the system is the virtual console, i would really like to play some older nintendo games on my gamepad, but there only 3 games available, why wasn't the virtual consoles ready at launch?

Nintendo needs to learn how to build consoles with developers in mind instead of just for 1st and 2nd party

the problem is that the Wiiu cannot connect well with the casual audience, that's why they made it weaker in the first place, to compensate loss of 3rd party games with the casuals in a greater margin

What they should have done was gotton atleast one big exclusive 3rd party game. Right now there is no reason for hardcore gamers to buy the Wii U, because those games are on their PS3 or 360. The Wii U is not gimicky enough to get the casual gamers. So what is Nintendo gonna do??

Sony went through all this hate/still does with the vita and ps3 and so I can understand how annoying all these articles must be for nintendo only gamers. But since Nintendo and Sony consoles are 100% what I usually have for each gen(this gen I had all 3) I hope they both find that long time success with the vita and Wii u.

Perhaps you should read the article. I love my Wii U, I only want the platform to succeed. There are things that I think Nintendo can do better, and I still think of my 360 as my main console, but I'd like that to chnage.

As if next gen consoles are going to be much better, you will still be playing the same old games (with a couple of exceptions.) What's so exciting? Playing Killzone with amzingball graphics?

I recently built a PC, nothing amazing, (GTX670 with an half decent cpu)and at first I was like wow FarCry 3 looks beautiful, but after that wore off it was the same game everyone else was playing on consoles.

At least with the WiiU it offers a different way of playing games, (I completed ZombiU a couple of months back and I thought it was great. The gamepad made it 10x better imo) It's just a shame I've not used my wiiu since lol.
