Batman : Arkham Origins coming to PS4, XBOX 720 this year [updated]

Batman : Arkham Origins is the next installment in Batman : Arkham series being developed by Rocksteady Studios rumored to released on PS4, XBOX 720 and current gen consoles this year. Batman Arkham Origins is set to unveil at E3 2013 and Oh it won’t be a sequel. Arkham Origins will be a prequel set in the silver age of comics which ran from mid 1950 to 1970. Arkham Origins will also feature appearances from other justice league members like fan favorite Superman and Green Lantern.

Update : Separately, VG247 sources claim this new project is not in development at series creator Rocksteady Studios. That development house is rumored to be working on a stylized prequel that will detail the Dark Knight’s first encounter with the Joker. It is not expected until 2014 at the earliest.

will get on ps4. i love these games. i am also happy there 60 bucks and not way more expensive. i also hope they add in some real next gen features. (bigger world, more ai, ect) but im sure they will. they made arkham asylum ffs

Hey, its one of the few GOOD superhero VG adaptions in years. Let it at LEAST stretch out past a trilogy before giving them the business for making too many too fast.

While it kind of sucks if they aren't, considering how good the first two Batman games were, it would still be great to see them make some other super-hero game.

I'm not sure what exactly I would want to see, but a dark-gritty version of some other super-hero would be great. Maybe a Superman game with the tone that the new movie has (at least appears to). If Rocksteady wants a challenge, making a Superman game in a dark world with free-roam capabilities (like Batman) would be a real challenge (to make it good, anyway).

For me it's not all about better graphics by having a good gaming PC, i prefer them for the better performance and smoother gameplay.

@Honest_Gamer a £500 PC won't max games for 5 years, my 5870 from launch can't max some newer games without going below 60fps at 1080p, and i got that in late 2009 for £300. But i haven't upgraded it because it plays everything i play at fast speeds.

To keep up you need a top card every 2-3 years. That's over £200 minimum, i fail to see how you can build the rest with just £300, a good quality psu is over £50 alone.

Physical copy archaic? In a technical point of view but its still more superior than digital download. You need a larger hardrive a very fast and constant internet. Almost all gamers wants a physical copy. Yes digital is the future but not yet until everyone in the world has internet connection at lightning speed. Internet is not as mainstream as electricity you know. there are still people who use "dial-up" sad but true. Owning, Holding, Feeling a physical media is a Big deal especially if your a collector. MS bashed the bluray and there are rumors they will include it in their nextbox, so steve ballmer I think is ready to eat his words.

The setting of the game has been a rumour for a long time and hasn't been confirmed although it would be pretty cool I imagine their next game will continue on where Arkham City left off. This year does seem quite likely and it'll most likely come to all console available at the time of release (PS3, PS4, Wii U, 360, PC). And last but not least I'll be buying it day one.
