Kojima Interview - Gametrailers

Hideo Kojima himself reveals all about the GDC announcement, Joakim Mogren and even information on how Ground Zeroes relates to Metal Gear Solid V in this interview!

He pretty much confirms that Ground Zeroes and MGSV:TPP will be released separately. They are both open world, but Phantom Pain is much bigger.

Kojima is a genius, I blindly trust him. Metal Gear Solid games never fail to amaze me, not because of graphics or gameplay, because of deep massages that was conveyed throughout the series, massages about war and peace, the danger of nuclear powers...etc along with the mature and excellent dialogues. no other game series has ever been able to pull off such feat.

I always wondered of people who hated the CODEC calls, or the game cutscenes, every single word has a meaning, every single word in those calls or cutscenes was foretelling something in the future or in the past....few people can understand this level of greatness.

I dont like the idea of ay one other than kojima working on metal gear, but You know what now that I heard it from Kojima himself maybe it is time he moved onto other projects. I realized after what he said that he has so many ideas in that genius head of his that it would be ok if he moves away from metal gear. He wants to do his own thing and I support anything this man can bring to gaming.

It looks like Kojima is taking serious ques from Assassin's Creed 1. Unlike the other AssCreed games: AC1 was really about what Kojima is trying to achieve with Ground Zeroes. Just listen to the interview around 9 minutes.

That was kinda expected. If Revengeance isn't coming to PC: no point holding breath for MGS5. Both were developed on PC.

So after watching the game trailer interview where kojima is discussing various things about mgsv, i hate the fact that there is no clear answer as to why hayter is not voicing snake. the whole change to roman numerals and the "V" actually meaning victory is cool i guess but the answer he gave about re-inventing the franchise (especially this late in the series) is just stupid. (reinventing game play is one thing but taking out the soul of the character without reasoning is dumb.

As many have noted Ground zeroes takes place immediately after peace walker. Kojima himself said that 80% of the game would be realistic and 20% sci-fi. so why the hell does snake's voice change so fast from peace walker to ground zeroes? from a realistic stand point it makes no sense at all.

At least ubisoft had a reason why ironside wouldn't return as fisher for the next splinter cell. First and foremost ironside did not like how ubisoft were handling sam after conviction making him "just another tool of the government" after giving him a personal story in conviction. now on ubisofts view the new tech. they are using to simultaneously mo-cap and voice act would of been to strenuous for ironside. those are two complete and valid reasons on both ends.

lets face it Hayter is the soul of the character for snake. Both for Solid snake and naked snake/Bigboss. do you guys honestly think a new actor would be able to voice the personality of snake the way hayter can? not for nothing but look at the new voice actor for sam fisher. does not have even a hint of the personality that michael ironside gave him over the years. after 15 years of voicing a character and from what we all know to be a good friend ship (between hayter and kojima) i think its really crappy the way kojima handled this situation.
