The Elder Scrolls Online Isn't Like Those MMOs You're Used To | Kotaku

Kotaku: "I'll admit that I, too, thought The Elder Scrolls Online looked a hell of a lot like World of Warcraft and any other generic MMO when the first few promotional materials and screenshots were released. I was expecting the game to end up feeling a lot like WoW, too.

So I was pleasantly surprised when I jumped into the starter zone (Stros M'Kai, pictured above) and the first thing I notice is...a lack of HUD. And that's a good thing."

Good. But i'm still not convinced that i'll want to play this for the same reasons i want to play Skyrim.

I know, right? I mean, I'll give the game a chance, but we hear this literally with EVERY new MMO that comes out nowadays.

Well I'm currently having fun in The Old Republic and APB reloaded.

From what I have seen it looks fun .

I was excited at first thinking it would be first person like the series has always been but then I saw the art style and 3rd person perspective and thought "Wow clone". They could have stayed in my favor by at least giving you the option of going 1st person but now it doesn't feel like an Elder Scrolls game.

It will have first person combat with your hands and everything plus crosshairs. btw just being in 3rd person doesn't make something a "wow clone".

From what I've seen, this looks awful
