How I Fell in Love With the Most Curious Controller Ever at PAX East

Gaming Irresponsibly: The Stinky had sprint mapped to the top part of the board, crouch to the back part, knife to the left and dive to the right. The board effectively allowed me to access those 4 abilities without ever-changing the positioning of my fingers on the keyboard or mouse.

I can see the front and back control option because of the way I inherently react to things on the screen. Side to side... not so much.

I agree, but you get used to it after about 10 minutes

Kinda gross, but interesting at the same time.

Interesting idea, but I'm not sure how well this would work or if it would even be comfortable for long gaming sessions. I mean, you would have to change the way you sit and play. In order for this footpad to be useful, your feet would always have to be on it or ready to press. Doesn't seem intuitive at all really.

The name of the product turns me off. I would never consider buying something with a name like that.

Presspauseradio at PAX Prime 2013: Kicking Down The Stinky Footboard

"I can admit that I have issues when it comes to playing complex video games. So many of the buttons are a strain to reach and different combinations are at times difficult to execute. This is greatly expanded whenever I need to play something on a PC using a keyboard and mouse. By the time I find out which key allows me to run, or how to change the camera mode I have already been taking out by the opposition. It would be nice if playing the game could be simplified in some way, perhaps with the assistance of a strangely named computer accessory. This is where the Stinky Footboard comes to the rescue."

It's definitely both, but it did actually feel natural and worked well with BF3.

Interview: Stephane Rivard, Stinky Footboard Developer

If you have not heard of the Stinky Footboard, I must say where have you been? The idea of playing your games with your foot has pretty much exploded.
