Push Square: "Sony has spent the past couple of months really pushing the PlayStation Vita as a haven for cult games. In the last few days alone, we’ve seen Limbo, The Walking Dead, and Divekick added to the platform’s release schedule, while Thomas Was Alone, Lone Survivor, and the brilliantly brutal Hotline Miami are all also on their way. But with the system’s sales still reportedly struggling in western territories, is Sony’s burgeoning indie initiative enough to drag the platform out of the gutter?"
Final Fantasy 7 has come back under the spotlight thanks to the release of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, but is it worth replaying the original?
Very much so. Graphically it's dated but the story and the gameplay haven't aged a day. It's still one of my all time favourite RPGs and for me is better than Remake in some ways.
Uncover secrets, defeat challenging bosses, and upgrade your arsenal in these exciting Metroidvania titles on the PlayStation Vita.
"The London-based (the UK) indie games publisher PQube and Tokyo-based (Japan) video games publisher and developer Acquire, today announced with great delight and excitement that "Class of Heroes 1 & 2: Complete Edition", is coming to PC (Steam) and consoles (PS5 and the Nintendo Switch) on April 26th, 2024." - Jonas Ek, TGG.
Once the PS4 comes out, I am more than certain that Sony will see a rise in PS Vita sales
Its unfortunate that the sales of the vita are struggling. I think its a wonderful piece of hardware personally but then again this is comngi from someone who hasnt thrown the money down to by one.
Indie games on XBLA have kept 360 interesting over the past few years in absence of a lot of AAA retail releases. I think the Vita will be okay, especially since indie games are becoming more and more relevant.
Well I can't wait for Unity support for the vita, I will be sure to port over my projects and learn a little bit about console hardware.
Funnily enough I bought one yesterday, I wanted to take advantage of the offers for the Vita on PS+ and I'm sure i't will play it's part when the PS4 is released, I don't think anyone should be concerned about the Vita's future it's just getting warmed up.
