Battlefield 4 vs Battlefield 3 Video Comparison: DICE have upped the ante

"EA have officially released the first gameplay footage for it's upcoming first person shooter Battlefield 4 and it is looking absolutely phenomenal.

We had earlier reported that DICE are using Frostbite 3 engine for Battlefield 4 compared to the Frostbite 2 engine they used it 2011 for Battlefield 3."

And it seems that the frames per second are still capped at 30. I would prefer 60 but I guess DICE would have to make sacrifices on the game engine to do so.

Hopefully in Multi they go with 60fps, and perhaps cut down on some of the effects like particles. Not too much though like textures i.e. COD.

@Omegasyde, you don't seem to know what you're talking about. Battlefield 3 was capped at 30fps on CONSOLES. This gameplay video however, is clearly being played on PC (on screen key prompts). The game is NOT capped at 30fps. Plus, didn't DICE themselves say that the game would run 720p, 60fps on next gen consoles? Yeah, try again...

The MOST APPRECIATIVE Battlefield fans would be those like me, had the PS3 version... 30FPS... garbage textures. This is one of the main reasons Im buying a PS4 day 1! If they get that GFX next gen PS4, my Lord, Im going to be a happy gamer.

Battlefield 3.5 confirmed. Just like I thought. They just rushed out another Battlefield game instead of working on something like Bad Company 3.

Guys,

Dice can't give us everything all at once, especially not on their first GEN game for the PS4. Give it some time.

Personally, I think BF4 was designed on the 4gb dev kit and not the 8gb dev kit.
