Most of this you could have done in z brush then port that into an engine sort of like trine did. Zbrush would be way faster then you could just relight it. Plus with 25 gig disk now you could just make the whole thing in a few photoshop files or polygon designs. That would be a fun project actually.

This is what, XXXX**** could look like next-gen/in HD/remade articles and what-not always irk me because the people always try to go for a bland, "realistic" art style in doing so. In my opinion that removes all of what could be called "style" from the game.

It the graphics were colorful, dynamic and animated in the oginal version then they should be more so in the later version.

Not saying this is one of those case but seeing it with just some higher resolution textures actually takes away from the visuals for me.

They are working on Metroid Prime 4 for Wii U.
It obvious for Retro Studio who said themselves they are working on a game everyone want them to work on.

They get Naughty Dog, Virgil, Crytek, Bungie and few other experiences Devs on board.
