Final Fantasy X & X-2 HD - Official debut trailer released

Square Enix today presents the first official trailer of Final Fantasy X & X-2 HD.

Really excited for this, never had the chance to play this on PS2 so ill be playing on my vita. I've only heard great things bout the FFX and bad things bout FFX-2. And it looks great so far.

X-2's battle system was pretty good, it'd much faster than X's, and there are a lot of sidequests- it's not all bad.

So long as you tune out you brain while you're playing it. I'd much rather FF12 HD over X-2...never got to play that one :(

X-2 battle system was great. Never got to finish the game though, so this would be a good opportunity.

FFXII was amazing but you have to understand that X-2 is the easier option since they are already upscaling the models for X.

For them to upscale XII would take years longer.

Never played the OG games but I'm kind of excited for these. The music in this game is amazing though and I've heard the story is good as well.

All these good RPG's coming to PS3 so late in it's life cycle. Don't own one though.

It's coming to Vita too right ? Maybe I'll just buy one of those.

Yep Vita as well. If you have never played FFX. I HIGHLY recommend it. The game's music, world, characters, and story are all top notch.

JRPG's are great on a portable device(vita). It hides alot of the bad textures because of small screen.
Another reason why JRPG's are great on a handheld si because of all the grinding needed on those games. Some grinding parts can get a little boring, so doing those grinding chores on a commute can be brilliant.

Probably advertising one half of the remaster now, so they cna release another trailer in a little while to advertise FFX-2.

You'll be lucky if there isn't a trophy for defeating Penance to be honest. These are the international versions after all.

I forgot all about dodging the lightening bolts, but I don't remember it being to difficult at all. As for Penance, I don't remember that being to hard either, just more of an endurance battle.

The hardest thing about X was getting all the Ultimate weapons. The game was a cakewalk, especially in the end when you got haste and quick hit. I loved the game, but they practially held your hand thru the whole thing. A step back from the PS1 titles

I remember dodging like 190 something and then messing up because I had to scratch...... I nearly threw my controller into the wall. Luckily on my next try I got it though lol. Best tip for it? Turn OFF the sound for the game. The music and the thunder crashing simply make it harder than it has to be.

Man, dodging lightning bolts was a nightmare! I was able to do it eventually but I feared it every time I replayed the game... Man, it is still scary to think that I will have to dodge them again in HD... shudder...

I found collecting the butterflies a lot more annoying than dodging the lightning bolts.

I think I did them in sets of 50 and took a break at the screen with the inn.

I think its a great feature, the 2 in 1 purchase idea. But I think it really hurts the Vita. Had this been exlusive to the Vita it would've made the console more of a contender to the 3ds this year. Releasing it on PS3 as well tho... it shouldve been a Vita exlusive in the east, like how Tales Of Symphonia was a gamecube exclusive in the west

Final Fantasy X is my favourite videogame of all time and it holds so many childhood memories, and I actually found X-2 very enjoyable! Coming from the UK, I am SO excited to replay both X and X-2, beat the Dark Aeons again, and FINALLY get a chance to have a go on the International Version of X-2 with the new Dresspheres and Last Mission!

The story, characters, world, music, sphere system, weapon creating, Blitzball, monster arena/capture, ultimate weapon hunting, aeon gathering, etc. It just has so much to offer every play through. It really is a masterpiece, and I will continue to play through it over and over for years to come. FFX marked the end of SquareSoft, and they went out with a BANG!

great gameplay, beautiful music, meh characters, meh story, god-awful voice acting (which I let slide seeing it's the first Final Fantasy with voice acting......everything but that dreadful balcony scene). Even though I wasn't a huge fan of this game it will be good to replay. Don't get why they choose to do X-2 though, it was pedofile the game and had horrible gameplay....oh well 2 games 1 price can't go wrong with that at all =] Day 1 ps3

No, those are separate games for Vita.

A clearer answer : ps3 and vita will get both FFX and FFX-2 BUT ps3 will have both on the same disc. They will be sold separately on the vita.

No matter how long it has been you still feel the emotion when that song (to Zanarkand) plays. That is what separates the old Final Fantasy's to the ones we have today.

I will gladly buy these games no questions asked just to relive the moments that both of these games has to offer.
