Virtual Katz Writes: Rumors swirled the web yesterday that the next Call of Duty game had been discovered, and in fact what it would be focused around. The information was brought forth by IGN, via YouTube user Drift0r that has a concrete source within Activision that has informed him that the next Call of Duty game will be subtitled Ghosts. While the excitement builds within for the next couple of seconds, let that slowly diminish because the more important information is about to come. As a part of that unveiling he was also told that the game would be a Next-Generation only title, but also see a PC release. While Next-Gen sales are expected to be extremely hefty at launch, the decision to make the game as Next-Gen only has to be rather troublesome to a large chunk of gamers. The disappointment with the decision, if in fact true, would show that the commitment to those that choose not to make the immediate jump is voided by one of gaming’s biggest franchises. For those making the...

COD has a long and storied career. Launching as a PC WW2 first-person shooter, Call of Duty has gone through numerous makeovers and been on just about every system. The series has gone through some serious highs and tragic lows. I’ll be looking at each Call of Duty game, the good the bad, and the ugly."
Vanguard better be at the fkn bottom. Can’t believe ppl haven’t eviscerated that game with all its lacking
Will get disagrees but Infinite Warfare campaign was really good. Decent story, set pieces were amazing and if it didn't have the CoD game on it I'm sure people would have been more into it. Advanced Warfare was alright too. Titanfall 2 was just 1000 times better than both but I enjoyed them for their campaigns. I literally barely gaf about the story I'm in it for the set pieces and 5 hours of being stoned watching cool nonsense happen if I'm in the mood to play a CoD campaign. If I'm looking for a deep plot I'm gonna go somewhere else.
Ghosts was the worst story-wise though lol that cliffhanger ending was so bs.
Also MW 2019 was sick and is one of the best CoD games in yeeeears not sure why it's so low on this dude's list. Campaign was great, multiplayer was great and Warzone was fun for a while. Over it now but shrugs.
Beat the Vanguard campaign too but I can't even remember a single thing about it other than that it felt like it was 45 minutes long. Might be the most forgettable thing I've ever played lol just fully erased from my brain
Call of Duty multiplayer ranked from worst to best! 2019 is coming to a close and MP1st ranks the best COD multiplayer games this decade.

Wore implementation I've ever seen,.. guess it just does not work all that great on every engine
Reshade is not raytracing, its a screen space post processing effect. Thats like calling SSAO "global illumination"
Oh, the irony... People are screaming for Call of Duty to innovate and now they finally have the chance to do so with new consoles and therefore a new engine they want it to stick to the current generation. Makes sense.
its gonna be SOOOO funny if this random Youtuber with an unconfirmed source is wrong.. IGN will need to be slapped in the face for reportting a random rumor for some out-of-the-air source..... but then again, its a CoD fanboy site, so that's to be expected.. for those wondering if these so called rumors will be good for CoD, please watch this very intelligently made video..

While i agree its a great move to go next gen, i cant believe microsoft or sony wouldnt want both. Games like gta5, battlefield 4, watch dogs, diablo 3 and assassins creed, while needing to be next gen for launch hardware sales, will also help to extend the life of this gen consoles. And cod is the biggest of these.
The biggest surprise is the dropping of the once Mighty MW moniker, which at one time was gonna be the sole name. Now, i think its great because it has fallen off since west and zampella left. Better to move on.
All generations will look the same when it comes down to CoD hahahahaha
LOL Cod.
If COD wanted to improve and innovate the gameplay, they would of done so by now. You don't need new hardware to innovate a game gameplay wise. PC is proof of this, as it has all the same exact games - no difference.
It's all up to the developers ambition in WANTING to innovate and also pressure from the publishers limit them as well.
Point is, the chance to innovate, especially the COD franchise has always been there, but they don't do it, because in order to innovate that would cost extra $$ and whats the point in doing that when consumers keep buying 10m+ of the same game every year?
Saves them $$$.
On PS4/720, expect the same old COD gameplay but the only difference is better graphics - THATS IT!
And sadly theres going to be people on the PS34/720 who are going to still buy this. Oh well I guess some good news out of this is it sells PS4 & 720 consoles.
