Not to me. This looks sort of like it's made by Linn (high end audio equipment).

I would actually prefer something like this as it's easy to store in an entertainment center and doesn't clash with everything else.

As long as it's quiet and doesn't run too hot I don't really care too much what it looks like. Unless it's something like the Gamecube.

Well the original PS2 wasn't really a looker when it first launched back in 2000 but look now its the highest sold console in history. I don't think looks are everything when it comes to hardware design but i'm sure Sony can do a better job then that.

I really hope we get the option to place the PS4 in a vertical position...did like the fact that Sony designed the PS3 slim that you can only have it horizontal.

Also I hope the new PS4 CONTROLLER has a sync button that you can use to connect it to the PS4.

I love it. I always prefer the minimalist approach to console designs. The we can let other artists or special editions hook it up for the people.

There are some negative things to say about that idea but, you have to admire a) the simplicity and b) the ease at which something like that would integrate into an existing home theater setting. The Ps3 is awful for it's actual design. you can't stack anything on top of it. There's only so much shelf space one can have.

That one small cooling fan wont cool the 8 core CPU properly. It would lead to overheating. They need to have crossflow (Cool air in and warm air vented out) cooling in the console to keep the system ccol. It would fit into my home theatre setup though.

Looks good to me. I don't know about everyone else but as an adult who also lives with his fiance. Having a minimal basic style that doesn't stick out like a sore thumb in our media center is great.

what a stupid post. its a joke concept, a box with "ps4" on it. why would sony go back to a ps2 look? everything has smoother edges nowadays. expect something with more rounded edges, and the top of the console to be a design with a mix of gloss and matte plastic finish

Their gaming console design structure has always been a bit more **adventurous in aesthetic looks than their other electronic products of similar usage ( mainly 3D/Blu Ray, DVD players ).
