that's just creepy. Imagine seeing that standing behind a tree in a foggy forest..

What do they mean "if" Slenderman were real ;)

HonestDragon4046d ago

Ha! Agreed. Freaking love that Slender game and I can't wait for the new one. If you like Slender, this is a song on youtube that I think was rather well done.

Slenderman caters to our fears of creepy pedophiles... in reality though he's the lamest excuse for a monster out there but he's very well dressed.

I've found the most interesting thing about Slenderman is that as soon as you start thinking about him you draw him closer as if he becomes aware of you soon as you are aware of him, the further you dig into the Slenderman mythos the closer he gets to you, slowly isolating you from other people and then you end up impaled on a tree in th middle of the woods somewhere... O.o

It's all nonsense of course but it does well to creep the crap out of you IMO, lol.

He'd find a better career doing adult anime

PeaSFor4046d ago

to resume, he's a cheap and shitty Freddy Krueger wannabe.

DeadSpaced4046d ago

Personally, I think he's a fairly decent monster. He plays off our fear of the unknown and is a an inescapable predator, which plays on our fear of the unchangeable.

However, compared to other monsters, he's extremely unorthodox.

I think he'd do well as an enemy on an episode of dr who? :P the whole way he work like the fact if you think about him he gets closer etc is all very dr who in terms of how the character is made into a threat etc.

Robotronfiend4046d ago

Right. No possible reference to other similar horror icons from cinema. Tall man, Thin Man etc etc.

Saw video clips and think it is only scary at the first few moments and then get quite repetitive.

Everybody go watch marble hornets on Youtube if you haven't done it yet. It's cool and creepy. In the dark only.

Neonridr4046d ago

Awesome series. The writers of Marble Hornets were also pulled in to help flesh out the story for that new Slender: The Arrival game releasing next week.

Reminds me of Faust from Guilty Gear.

Review: Slenderman's Shadow [eGamer]

eGamer writes: "Slenderman’s Shadow is finally complete, and it’s been well worth the wait. It’s just an amazing experience that has been stunningly recreated, and it’s fantastic value for money. If you’re a fan of Slender and especially this series, you should absolutely not hesitate to buy this. The only thing holding it back right now is Slender Man’s disappointing model, but if it gets changed in future updates, this game will be damn near perfect. Right now, it’s easily one of the best Slender releases out there."
