Injustice: Gods Among Us Season Pass Detailed

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and DC Entertainment today announced a Season Pass for the upcoming DC Comics beat-‘em-up videogame, Injustice: Gods Among Us. Available for purchase at launch for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, the Injustice: Gods Among Us Season Pass grants purchasers access to four of the videogame’s upcoming downloadable characters for the price of three.

Sadly, as much as the concept outright sucks for a fighting game, it's nothing new. Especially for this studio. :(

i agree,heck im 100% sure there will be a goty addition as well,especially since this game is published by warner bros who also published arkham city,and MK9 both of which i love but kind of felt i waited for.

Ah the state of modern day gaming were buying the game just is not enough anymore.....

Meanwhile developers like bohemia interactive give their game away for £20 allowing users to help make the game through an alpha invite.

And other devs sell great games like Natural Selection II for £20 on steam....sorry make that £10 as it is actually on sale.

I suppose it is easy enough to demonize the companies for coming up with the concept, but truthfully the blame rests squarely with the consumers.

The consumer base accepted the DLC movement with open wallets. If we had not accepted DLC with our wallets, then DLC would not have proven profitable, and companies would have stopped providing it.

I can hardly blame the game companies for taking advantage of a profitable opportunity. The entire purpose of a business is to generate a profit by providing products and services.

Admit it, if you could get away with doing something that earned you more money, wouldn't you?

It's tough. If a dev pours everything into a game and we love it....we want more! But indeed don't wanna pay.

But how do we as gamers know if the dev held back content that was finished and really should've been left on disc?

Or what about this - what if a game was designed with dlc already part of the process? I assure you that this option is now the standard. And I'm not really happy about it ...but it is acceptable.

I just think dlc is most of the time over priced. And maybe that's the real reason we all get miffed by dlc.

(Season pass is annoying. But online pass on a fighter or racer or fps is really just pure greed douchery. Games that traditionally should have online play now being monetized is douchy. )

Yes. Unless you are a super fan most will not go out and buy all this when release.

Publishers must understand the negative impact this sort of crap will have one their games at launch.

It will only push more people to buy it later.
