As for making me cry, most recently I got a little teary eyed when Oliver's mother died in Ni No Kuni and he was crying so badly...
Other than that I felt really sad at Xenosaga Episode 3's ending. Everything was so bitter sweet and tragic including the music. Couldnt shake off the sadness for 2 or 3 days.
FFX was definitely very emotional especially when Jecht dies and Tidus vanishes. Also the first time I entered Zanarkand it was so... scary and sad for me. It was like a great journey was about to come to an end and I will lose Yuna soon. The soundtrack there gave me a really heavy heart

no, but i have had a seizure that was caused by a video game. It was FZero on the gamecube.

That game was so fast and flashy, it has been the ONLY game where i experienced such a thing.

And i have been playing lots of games for over 30 years. I can say...I have not played it since then.

What happened to Argo in Shadow of the Colossus was like a Sally the Dog moment, because it so closely delved into the relationship people can have with animals. That just seems to get to people. You hear people died and you're for some reason not as sad as when you hear someone's dog died.

Man that moment when it first happened was heartbreaking....the music that played really enhanced that moment.

When Aerith was killed i didn't really cry but it did choke me up quite a bit cause i used her a lot in the game & to see her taken away from me was devastating.

My very first & actual 'man tears' was the end of Crisis Core. Zack was just such an awesome character & he was well developed within the game. To see his last stand was excrutiating & even though we all knew he was gonna die the game showed it in such an emotional way it really gets to you.

Not even close. Games just don't have that power yet, that suspension of disbelief where I really lose myself in the character or loss of one. I lose myself in the games, but not the characters.

The quality of the story telling isn't there yet, games need better/professional writers. I hope the new tech can properly portray human emotion for me to care when they're lost.

Closest I ever came was back in '97 when FFVII came out. When (you should) know who gets murdered, totally unexpectedly stabbed in the back, it hit me hard.

a.) It was a played up to be a happy moment that is quickly, evilly, destroyed.
b.) The character was very likeable.

Second closest was also in FFVII, during Nanaki's storyline. That was some beautiful storytelling right there.

Aeris's death in Final Fantasy 7 was definately a tear-jerker for me, mainly because I had basically leveled her up as my primary mage and had even gotten her up to her final limit break.

And then the broad just goes and lets herself get shish-kabobed, wasting all of my effort with her. I knew I should have just stuck with Tifa; in that case being superficial and following her big knockers would have kept me out of trouble.

Sadly haven't played FFX, but I did watch the ending (wish I hadn't) and it was sad even though I had no connection to the characters.

The original KH when I beat it was pretty sad. Also I was young when I played it so it took me like a year (maybe more) to beat it and I was in shock that it was finally over especially after the epicness of Hollow Bastion and End of the World. KH 358/2 Days got me good too. I grew to love and respect Xion so much more after the game then before I started it.

FF7 Crisis Core because I played it before I played FF7.

inFAMOUS 2 had two very sad endings as well.

I've never full out cried, but sometimes they tear me up and I definitely allow myself to get connected to the characters I play as or watch on tv or movies.

Journey recently. I was at a certain time in my life and everything aligned. That feeling of catharsis just came out of nowhere. Tears were streaming. I don't even know why. --- a game before that would have to be... Mass Effect 3. That moment with Liara when she was creating a time capsule in case your journey lead to failure. Final Fantasy X: When you discover that the entire journey will lead to Yuna's death and then "To Zanarkand" plays.

Mass Effect 3: Mordin's death if you let him go up the tower.

Gears of War 3: When Dom sacrifices himself to save his friends.

The Walking Dead: The last scene with Clementine and Lee in episode five.

Kingdom Hearts/Kingdom Hearts 2: Quite a few scenes in there that I think many people would agree with me on. In particular, when Sora and Kairi get separated at the end of KH and when Sora, Donald, and Goofy are leaving Twilight Town.

Yes. FFX and MGS4. Maybe 3 aswell. I can't quite recall. The moment snake pulled the trigger on that cemetary and Campbell said that Snake had a hard life whilst looking skyward and whispering "goodbye Snake" I cried like a fucking baby..just to find out he couldn't take his own life moments later. I was so relieved and happy. Imo, MGS4 had the best, most emotional and memorable ending of all the games in the series.

Yeah. So many games managed to do that. But it's good, right. Just shows how much you're sucked into the universe and story of the game and how much you get involved with the characters, whether you cry because somethings sad or because something makes you happy. I remember the credits for TLOZ:TP where you see that Zora kid which made me sad and then you see these kids coming back to their village, so sometimes even both thiongs come together xD

But if they fon't make you cry, np, not everyone expresses emotions like that, some other may just have these feelings without crying.

Metal Gear Solid 3, oh man the ending. Betrayed, used up, grieving for the mentor he had to kill, Snake sheds a tear from the only eye he's left with, while he salutes the grave of The Boss. That's the only moment you see a "Snake" character from the MGS universe crying.

AC Revelations, Altair's death scene. "Press A to take a sit and rest" moment, and the monologue of old Ezio, his desire of revealing the truth unaccomplished and feeling manipulated for a cause he didn't even understand... Damn that was some sad moment.
