I just picked up Dante's Inferno for 4 bucks the other day... I am really mad at myself for not buying it sooner. It's a fantastic game. I enjoyed it more than the God of War series actually.

It is based on a old book.

Never read it yet, so I don't know how it ends.

But I doubt there is enough room for another game in that book, that is if the ending hasn't already been told.

Yeah, based on the way it ends and what you do in the game, I doubt there would have been a sequel even if the game had sold well.

Played the demo a LONG time ago, but from what I remember I liked it a lot. I'll have to pick it up one day.

Eh, I figured I'd get disagrees for saying a God of War clone was better than the series itself. Still, despite not having the same level of production value, and the fact that the quick time events weren't all that great, Dante's Inferno certainly beats God of War at an atmospheric level. The way you had to descend into hell further and further was a great premise. The levels themselves were also very original as opposed to how I felt about God of War 3's areas. They just felt bland and uninspired to me personally when stacked against Dante's levels.

It's cool if you don't agree, I'm just trying to get the game a few more supporters. It really deserved much better sales than what it got. If you're a fan of God of War, definitely check it out if you haven't. :]

The atmosphere is one of the best I've seen this gen.

Very good representation of the different levels of hell.

Idk seemed to me there was a ton to work with even though it had ended. It even said "To Be Continued" at the end.
