At a Niconico live broadcast during the Game no Dengeki Kanshasai 2013 event on Sunday, Atlus producer Katsura Hashino confirmed that the game developer was "working hard" on creating the next Persona title. He also discussed creating new features for the recent PS Vita role-playing game Persona 4 Golden and thanked the fans of the franchise.

Sea of stars while seeming pretty good so far doesn't belong in the top rpg discussion. There's way better ones. I'd tell them to play star ocean 2. One of the best non turn based rpgs ever. It has everything.
And if the list is limited to just turn-based RPGs, I can think of better ones to add to this list. You have the Dragon Quest series, the Trails series…Persona 5 Royale is on the list but why limit it to just that one? P3 and P4 were great as well.
The Legend of Dragoon, Legend of Legaia, or the Shadow Hearts games has decent enjoyable turn based combat system.
The studio was on the verge of collapse when Persona 3 came out, and things were looking quite grim for Atlus. Regardless, many decisions made in the game paid off and became a staggering success.
Years ago, I was emulating the game on my laptop and the old thing died when I was about to get to the final boss. I'm more than happy to buy this remake when it comes out so I can finish it!
At the time I was immersed in SMT Nocturne and later DDS. I did not realize at all how important Persona would become for me years later.
Persona 3 FES was the first one that I played in the series. Looking forward to the remake.
Perhaps...Persona 5 on PS3 and 360, possibly WiiU, early 2014? I doubt it will be a next-gen game, seeing how Persona games typically don't release on cutting-edge hardware. I'd also be very happy with a cross-buy PS3/Vita option.

One of the best rpgs out there i cant wait for the next one.I'm sure they r going all out on this one.
I hope they expand on the exploration by adding more/bigger places to visit.
