No matter if you've gotten tired of the COD series by now (or if you've NEVER liked it, like myself), they tend to be well done games, and when they're bad, they get bad scores, hence the awful reviews fo Declassified for Vita.

The AI was brain dead as shit. They stood in a cluster waiting to be shot in the head. All of the heads exploded upon one shot.. Graphics aside (which suck) the game play seems like non stop waves of shooting weak AI enemies.

Yes, yes they should. The sole reason they exist is to feed and in turn spread infection, so when there's 20+ zombies that are starving with only 5 living people in the whole area, you'd think upon seeing you or hearing the roar of a freakin' LMG they'd respond.

They tip a wrench off the shelf in the comics/TV show and zombies notice, you stand 3ft away in this game spamming an assault rifle and nothing.

Even for zombies that is terrible AI by any gamers standard.

Of course it is, you see a game based on one of your favourite shows and you're immediately interested. When I first heard about it I thought I'd most likely get it, that was of course before I saw the gameplay videos. It's the reason games based on films tend to do well even though most of them suck, who doesn't want the chance to feel like they're one of their favourite characters?

I'm not sure why you expect greatness from the Walking Dead brand, though. The show (especially season 3) is awful.

Sure, the comics are good, and the adventure game isn't bad; but it's not like the franchise has been firing on all cylinders up to this point.

If the franchise was swelling with integrity, they never would have allowed Activision to get their hands on it in the first place.

@below: I'm not taking away his appreciation of the series. I'm just saying the track record ain't perfect. For me to explain why the show is awful would take hours of time and pages of text. Lets just say every episode feels like a bottle episode. The characters actions and dialogue are inconsistent. A lot of the plot points go nowhere and are meaningless. Most episodes feel like they were filmed in a weekend. There are a ton of Deus Ex Machina's. And on and on.
It's just not a well written show (hopefully things improve now that Glen Mazzara is gone). Sorry.

If you'd like to know what current shows I think are good, I'll give you a few. Game of Thrones, Boardwalk Empire, Breaking Bad.

Those shows are shot well, they have a budget that reflects their viewing numbers, they are extremely well written and acted, the actors never act out of character, and the stories don't rely on convenience to progress a plot.

well the TV show is brilliant and tense, scary as you dont know who is next to die, with some great action! yes the TV show is about survival and not a fast shooter!

We have great characters such as the governor, remember his zombie vs person show set in a ring? I will wait to see what the people who buy the game say rather then game sites as people who invest their money also invest the much needed play through time to judge.

So from my point of view if you want a game that offers what the Walking dead is trying to offer then that game is ZombiU!

Everyone who plays it(miiverse) gives it very very high scores (ignore the reviews from places like Gamespot. Zombi U offers all of the above as well as a nice arena section just very similar to the governors as well as scares and great play.

For those who want to bash me for saying zombie you go to the near 200,000 post on miiverse which includes many people who own ps360 and pc so its not just fan boy talk..

The TV show is NOT brilliant and you ALWAYS know who is next to die.

The moment a character that hasn't really been focused on for a while suddenly starts getting some lines and shows a little humanity...you know they're next to die.
T-dogg, Lori, and Axel are great examples of this.

Or if a new character is introduced and immediately starts doing something stupid...you know they're next to die.

Big Tiny and Tomas were examples of this.

The show is dull and predictable. AND everything happens conveniently for the sake of moving a plot point a long.

EDIT: @below: LOL! The best was when Lori told Rick to kill Shane. Then, when Rick did kill Shane, Lori freaked out on him. That was when I saw the writing on the wall for that show. They act so wildly out of character for the sake of convenient story telling. It's a joke, really.

I have to admit though... I'm one of those people who gets more pleasure out of watching stuff that is bad because I get so much more entertainment out of it. And, when people really like something that I recognize to be terrible (eg, Star Wars episode 3, Hunger Games, The Avengers (or any other Marvel movie)), that makes it so much better. I'm actually glad the show sucks.

Fire up a helicopter in the middle of a city and fire huge guns. According to the rules of the series, that should attract hundreds of walkers.

It seems to be that none of you actually tried the game by yourselves. If you expect something like Call of Duty or a classic FPS where you have to run, this is not your game. As you may expect, there will be a single type of enemy (just walkers), and that may be very boring for a lot of people. This is a game designed as a FPS, mostly by the view but, it contain strategic elements that you cannot see in other games. Like to recruit people, send them for scavenge, where to go on the road (and which type of road to take, streets, highways), and even each point has optional quests. This is about the story of the two brothers and you have a lot of choices to do.
If you think about this game as Left 4 Dead, this is not your type.

This really saddens me. I love the show and wanted Activision to actually produce this time, considering they had the actual actors who play Daryl and Merle helping with the game. But, I guess it goes to show that the actors have no control over what kind of game they're making, only the voicing that goes in it.

I agree (especially after watching the ending) that this game looks like it blows, but in the game's defense, the guy playing...sucked ass at this type of game lol. If you follow the link and watch the other video of the 1st 10 minutes, he's even worse in that one than he was at hitting zombie heads in the last part of the game lol. The TV show does have some horrible soap opera type scenes in it. But seeing as its really the only zombie show on TV, most of those scenes are followed by good zombie killing. Season 2 was by far the worst, with the love triangle between Rick, Shane, and Rick's wife. I think they should have just killed off Rick's wife and kept Shane around at least he was entertaining. Lots of good characters in TWD! Don't most shows including Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, and others have soap opera type scenes in them?

I'd give it more than a 3/10, it's just a different type of game. Not a Call of Duty and not anything else. It's the Walking Dead, made to tell a story. A background story of one of the shows characters. I like it and the herd mode is actually very fun. Although I wish there was a multi player mode for the herd mode other than that I love it so far.
