Rumor: Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance Coming To PS Vita

The latest Metal Gear title, Rising Revengeance made a debut on PS3 and Xbox 360 last month but did not however make an appearance on Sony’s “next gen portable” PS Vita.

It's probably just a bug, it happend before with E.X Troppers ( http://n4g.com/news/1127488... ).

Also Yuji Korekado (Creative Producer of MGS:R) said that the PSV isn't powerful enough for MGS:R ( http://gematsu.com/2012/08/... ).

Hopefully i'm wrong and Korekado was lying.

Downports are always possible. They have all the Metal Gear games on Vita and Rising isn't exactly pushing console tech.....

As Th4Freak said, this also happened with E.X. Troopers. With that being said, I just can't see it working on the Vita. Plenty of people had problems performing a parry with a controller, I hate to see how bad the Vita would be.

Also if Ninja Gaiden 2 is any indication, I rather not see them port it and have an unstable resolution.

It should be obvious why he said that. It's the same reason a lot of Japanese developers were claiming the Vita wasn't powerful enough or that it wasn't the right fit for their games. The Vita wasn't selling well at the time. Since the price drop in Japan it's been selling very well. The game could easily run on the Vita after being scaled down.

Cut the shadow resolution, lower the resolution to 960x544, cut the texture resolution, less particles and at lower detail, lower the quality/resolution of all visual effects, lower the number of dynamic lights, etc. You have to scale everything down for the Vita's resolution and screen, and you can get away with a lot more graphical "tricks" with such a small screen. If they really want to, they can get it to run.

I would buy this if it came out for Vita. For some reason I also feel like Street fighter 3rd strike would be good on Vita. I just got a hori trigger grips for my Vita and its so much more comfy to play MvC3, NGSP, and MK.

If it drops for the vita I know its asking alot but maybe it will have the DLC included (weapons, outfits, and wolf, Sam DLC) with cross play. definite buy. If not i'll stick to my PS3 copy. I wonder if this will be a new trend if PS3 titles that don't do as well as companies hoped will be ported to the Vita.
