Shut up and get excited for 'Saints Row IV'

Could also be that GTAV is just around the corner... I think most people have it as a higher priority for sandbox gaming. If it wasn't set to come out soon, people (in general) would probably be paying more attention.

The problem with Saints Row (After 3 anyways), is that it tries to be so.many.things that it basically has no soul, nothing which makes it distinct, it's basically a clusterfu** and they're trying to push it so hard down our throats it stopped being funny from the first trailer.

I'm really sorry, but I'm so not excited for the game. I don't give a crap if you added new game play and the game looks EXACTLY the same, also the area that you are going to play in looks like Steelport.

You better upgrade those visuals and art style if you are going to bring the game to the next-gen and current-gen consoles because I am not paying for something that was supposed to be DLC for SR3.

Also to the guy below me (FlameBaitGod), yes COD has looked the same, but there has been many new small differences that make the game interesting with each new COD, also each story is set in different locations not like SR4 (Which looks like it's set in SteelPort again).

Another reason is that I have only bought BO2 so I don't give a shit for COD. I play with friends for fun and shit.

Didn't excite me, it was just "look how zaney and wacky we are!" same graphics, same gameplay, same everything really, with a few more mascot costumes (hooray...).

I'm not hating on the game, it's just not my thing, I like dumb crap as much as the next guy, but I thought the gameplay was sub par and the storyline was horrible (in saints row 3, MY OPINION)

Just give me GTA V on PC with 50+ player online, customizable game modes like in San Andreas MP where we can atually have scripts or whatever to make any game modes we want, like Cops N Robbers in SA-MP where it saves your cash & progress to the server, total freedom.. and i will be happy.

I guess I am the only person who liked playing SR3 in co-op. That game was so over the top I actually beat it over the course of 2 months just playing bits here and there. It wasn't so serious that I had to play it all the way through in one sitting which is nice to have once in a while.

I bought SR3 as part of a B2G1 free sale, while I was in the process of playing SR2 co-op.

I had intentions to finish 2 and play 3, I just haven't got around to it yet.

I'm sure there are plenty of people with a backlog of games to play.

SR1 and SR2 are the only games I recognize to be Saints Row games. SR3 was the beginning of its downfall, and with this game, you have to be kidding me...

won't even bother with this, SR3 was too wacky and stupid for me, this is way beyond that.

The first two Saints Row games were great open world gang games. They were sometimes silly but serious at the same time. The third game is fucking ridiculous in every way possible, and now this. The fourth game is going to be nothing more than DLC that should have been added to three and a poorly slapped together story. As far as I'm concerned, This is going to suck and I won't buy it. I'll keep my more for something that has promise.

They've overdone it with absurdity. I have finished SR2 with my friend and enjoyed it thoroughly. SR3, not so much. Too much absurdity can hurt. I don't even have a pinch of interest in SR4.

I loved SR1 and SR2. SR3 was good, but a bit too crazy. SR4 just looks beyond stupid. I'm not interested in the slightest. They clearly didn't listen to all the fan feedback after SR3 saying that everyone wanted them to go back to the formula in SR2.

Reminds me of what happened with CoD actually. Everyone loved CoD4. They wanted a bigger and better game that followed that formula. Instead the CoD series just kept getting way more convoluted, unbalanced and stupid. The story in CoD4 was great. It was believable, and even realistic to a certain extent. It felt like a real war story, something you could imagine really happening. Then came MW2 and 3, and Blops 1 and 2. Seems like the same thing is happening with Saint's Row now.

Yeah; there was a report that they stopped production on a DLC for SR3 and decided to make it a major part of the next game. Either it's a cash-grab game, or they're trying to kill the IP by ignoring that we loved the balance between serious and insanely silly that SR2 had. SR3's biggest appeal was purple dildos >_<

Here's my response: shut up and stop telling me how I should feel. The first two Saints Row games are passable, but the third one was a slack-jawed mess coupled with immaturity and over-the-top nonsense that just ruined any potential to cement it as its own great game. Now with this fourth installment, I can't help but think that over-the-top is really all that Saints Row has going for it. The problem with this formula, though, is that if you rely on it too much then people are going to get sick of it.

I've played saintsrow 1 and 2 and they are good I didn't like the third one at all the storyline was all messed up.now for saints row 4 I see there still in stillport which is crap.I don't think they have a chance against grand theft auto 5.so we know who the winner is.

GTA is too generic, i will take this (SR4) over the top fun sandbox game any day.

GTA is a VERY overrated series, Red Dead Redemption is and will be the best Sandbox game this gen.
