IGN:You should absolutely play Awakened if you’ve already beaten Dead Space 3. It’s one of the more original and memorable parts of Isaac’s story… which says as much about Dead Space 3 as a game as it does the quality of this DLC. The creepy atmosphere, the dementia, and the bite-sized story of devotion gone wrong stand out strongly against some of the more phoned-in story beats of the main game. Playing it did make me wonder why this style didn’t show up in the main story. I also wonder what would’ve happened had the themes of Awakened been expanded upon, but since Visceral's said that Awakened is the only piece of Dead Space 3 story DLC that's coming, I guess we’ll never know.
If EA and Motive Studio plan on remaking all the main Dead Space entries, they have to change a lot of what made Dead Space 3 so divisive.
Simple, do not bother with a Dead Space 3 remake. Rather have a new entry for Dead Space.
Yeah I agree. Make a dead space 3, but have an original story/setting. They’ve proven they can do the game justice, and I think they could evolve 2 in a good direction, keeping a similar tone. I’d love s Dead Space 2 and 3 though. The remake was fantastic. Top tier remake, up there with RE2.
Remaking 3 would need to be a reworked and somewhat changed remake as 3 was flawed in most peoples eyes and the worst entry.

They need to seriously continue this ip with a new entry. Even if it's just another movie I don't care I love everything about this game.
Glad to hear they put some effort into Isaac's character with this one.
So sad though. They crapped all over the story in 3. Made Isaac a lifeless automaton. Gave Ellie a boob job and delegated her to "the love interest." Made the actual narrative borderline incoherent.
So much of the game ruined in the name of ticking a few boxes on some ridiculous, corporate "AAA ACTION GAME" checklist that was supposed to "save" the series.

I've heard this DLC was blatantly taken out of the game.
