My PS3 made me a better gamer

From the article, "My PS3 has made me a better gamer. I’m more accepting of different genres and willing to give games I never would have played before due to genre or distribution method. I’m being exposed to more wonderful games, which means more stories to experience and adventures to be had. It’s a fantastic system and I can’t wait to see what happens next with the PS4."

What a great read, especially the part where she say "The Ico and Shadow of the Colossus Collection is surely a thing of beauty and a modern masterpiece." Totally agree.
When I was playing PS2 games back in the days I didn't bother with Ico and SotC, but with the PS3 remaster collector edition. I am amaze of how a game like this last gen and how dumb of me not playing on the PS2.
Thanks Sony for supporting gamers and Team Ico for making quality and unique games.

The Ico and Shadow of the Colossus Collection was a day 1 buy for me. Even today this generation u wont find an experience like those 2 masterpieces. The Last Guardian will be an amazing game & im sad to hear that it will be Fumito Ueda last console game & I didnt know he was leaving since i been gone for a while but im so glad he is creating The Last Guardian on the ps4 because ive always dreamed of Fumito Ueda bring his game to life with the graphics there is now. I already know it will be a masterpiece.

Yup I just finished SOTC HD on PS3 and just down loaded ICO. SOTC is liek no other experience.

Its the only game that messes with your emotions.
Its a man's puzzle game.

It also was the early games like RE4 to have influence on many 3rd person platformers and shooters on PS3 today. Particularly Uncharted, God of War III and Tomb Raider.

Mariye4058d ago

Oh absolutely. The Last Guardian is going to be extraordinary and well worth the wait if Ico and Shadow of the Colossus are any indication.

So much diversity on PS3. For me that's the reason I like PS3 for this generation as I did with PS2!

We have platform games, first person shooters, RPG's, RTS in Valkyrie Chronicles, action adventure, hack and slashers and much more!

people can argue about the "console war" but every ps3 owner knows who won

I played so many different types of games this gen on my ps3 that I dont think I would of touched if they came out last gen. I own about 75 physical copies of games just on my ps3 which is an improvement from the 20 games I had for my ps2 and gamecube.

Minato-Namikaze4058d ago (Edited 4058d ago )

i own about 165 games, with about 120 being physical. I've always been a all around gamer, my least favorite genre's being sports, FPS and casual.

Williamson4058d ago

Thats an impressive number of games! Ive been an all around gamer as well with fps being my least favorite since im not much of a multiplayer gamer.

you can never go wrong with a willingness to try new & different types of games. Some of my most memorable gaming experiences came from just saying what the heck that looks different might as well give it a try.

6 Fun Games Where You Actually Play As The Bad Guy

While the mainstream media always sees things turning in favor of the hero, here are 6 games that own being a bad guy.

Profchaos4h ago

Pretty much all of these games listed are based around a morality system you don't have to be bad and you don't have to be good.

It seems to have left out some real amazing games like red dead redemption 1/2,ass effect and true crime la/ny

Armored Core VI?

Ok, I'm really missing something here. Just beat chapter 3 earlier this evening, unlocked A-rank Arena fights. I'm not seeing or sensing any branching paths or morality system and I've done every side mission and arena fight available to me up to that fight.

Is something big coming soon to branch the story?

No mention of Grand Theft Auto? Saints Row (original trilogy), Manhunt? Also The Suffering (depending on the ending you get).

I never got around to mass effect - I’m skeptical that it would hold up if I were to try it now

Furesis20h ago

I would say it does. The combat is a bit shit for todays standards but everything else is great.

It's worth a play through today.
