Virtual Katz Writes: It looks as though we are entering a day and age where a video game can’t seem to stand on its own two feet without a toy to go along with it. While Skylanders have been insanely popular and I am in no way bashing them because the game is fun, it seems like everyone is trying to get a piece of the action. Within the last month we have heard about two titles that will use a similar approach to upcoming titles with Disney and now Pokémon jumping into the game. The newest Pokémon game for the Wii U, Pokémon Rumble U, will use the same figurines that Skylanders so cleverly invented and not only are the more affordable, getting an entire set will be trickier than you think.
There are many worlds out there brimming with wondrous creatures ready to help you on your adventure beyond Pokemon.
Temtem is actually really good as a single player experience or as a co-op game. Played the shit out of it when it released
Even if Pokémon Scarlet and Violet have not yet completed their first anniversary, it is possible to predict exactly when Gen 10 is arriving.
The Nerd Stash: "There's been a lot of talk about Pokemon and Palworld recently, but if anything, Pokemon's new competition should be a sign to change."
Fortunately for Nintendo, the legal team is separate from Game Freak’s development team.
they do tho .. IF there is something to sue for. IP infringement is such a delicate thing.
but absolutely agree on the change
That, have longer dev time, and absolutely get rid of Nintendo as the exclusive platform. Imagine a AAA pkmn game on current consoles or next generation.
But money, they'll make billions with little effort.
Idk yall. I'd take a Pokémon jrpg over a Pokémon with guns, online play etc. Plus wasn't Pokémon mobile pretty fking big like 4 years ago then covid hit.
No they don't I don't want any of the gameplay anywhere near Pokemon the only link between them is the idea of Pokemon except there's guns you enslave humans and Pokemon and there's a survival aspect.
Pokemon is fairly family friendly can't see Nintendo going ok let's give them m16s and slaughter each other
"No one will know what is to come in the packaging upon purchase because the Pokémon company will be attempting to take as much out of your pocketbook as possible, by placing the miniature figures in a bubble casing much like that of a vending machine. Instead of seeing what’s inside, it will be black so that the contents remains a mystery."
This will guarantee sells no matter what since the gambling aspect of these purchases has always worked very well for trading cards. I guess it'll also control the rarity and online price of each Pokemon.
Cool-
But it kind of sucks.
If you are "insane" enough to try to track them all down- you will have to jump through so many hoops.
-I guess it was the same way with the cards.
Well, I'm happy for you Nintendo... you Poke'-Dealers.... ;-)
(Also, Definitely gonna = sales).
skylanders clone
Pokemon rumble sucks...always has.Bring Pokemon Snap 2
i'm hoping this is just Nintendo's first step in using NFC, in particular for a Pokemon.
imagine Pokemon Rumble U, you only buy $2 figures to play the game. what if this is just the first step? what if Nintendo plans to make a full-pledged Pokemon RPG that lets you use the same figures. what if you can carry over the saved info in your existing figures in future Pokemon games? what if they implement 3DS connectivity, and lets you use the figures to use those Pokemon for future 3DS Pokemon. what if in the future, Pokemon will let you use AR cards + figures in any future Pokemon game?
