Odd choices for "best" more like you settled as these being the "best" that available to you at the time, cause a lot of these blow or were average to poor performers that ended up in bargain bin.
Missing too many great sci-fi titles here. The Void, The Resistance Series, Killzone 2 and 3, Enslaved, man.. there were so many, this is redicu-list.
I agree that Starhawk shouldn't be above Warhawk, however I must say that Starhawk multiplayer was incredible for its time! Many people wrote it off bc the single player was quite terrible, bc it was basically 1 huge tutorial for the multiplayer. But I can tell you never spent any significant amount of time in MP. It was doing incredibly tense base building w air, foot and land vehicle (and mech!) combat long before Fortnite was ever a thing.
I bet it would have been much better received if it had just ditched the story mode all together. So many people like yourself completely wrote it off based on reviews by reviewers that let the criticism of single player weigh heavily on their scores. I bet you didn't even play it.
There's also the less acclaimed 'assault on dark Athena'
( also, not saying this to you specifically but there's both resistance and killzone games on the list, it's amazing how even something so simple and innocent as a game list can be turned into misinformed vitriol here lol )

Everyone knows Twisted Metal... I mean literally everyone! Whether it is simply a childhood classic for you, or one of the worst, mind-corrupting disgraces to entertainment you can think of, you've at least heard of this iconic title.

They need to get the enemy AI balance right. Thats what made 2 the best in the series. Black was abysmal in that dept.
You don't. Do sequels. If you've gotta reboot, might as well do a new IP. God of War is the only game I can say that did a successful reboot

I personally think they can leverage the roots of the series. The original TM in 1995 took place on Christmas Eve 2005, and it was the 10th contest in history. Why not “reboot” the franchise by making a prequel of sorts showing the origin story of the series and maybe linking all the future games in a brilliant way. Seems like such an obvious idea to leverage old with the new (kind of look how Doom 2016 did with its lore).
If the games are good and they make good use of the features, then yes.
well great games will sell regardless. features are just there to enhance the users experience.
if i like a game i'll definitely invite my friends to try it out by taking over my controller.
I'm more interested in how these features will affect the bias in game reviews. If you can try a game you're interested in first hand, there won't be a need for online reviews.

Games must come down in price to match the economy state! Jobs are lacking and the payroll companys are paying to new employees are less than what use to be 3 years ago.Theres less money changing hands,because the common people dont have the same acess to bank credit that they had before the economy colapse.Banks dont lend money has before and some familys that were actually having a nice life 3 years ago now see them selfs with 3+ mortgages to pay and no credit or incomes to pay them,im sure that food for those familys is now priority and not games and other superfluous things like it where before the bubble blown.
if they advertise the hell out of the gameplay streaming features and sharing, it will sell like hotcakes
PS4 features may or may not improve game sales, but pricing the games at $70 will sure as hell lower game sales.
