2012 was a great year for gaming, however for some studios, not so much. Over twenty gaming studios closed down last year leaving their mark on the industry forever. We'll remember the games they made, some good, some bad, and thank them for the innovation and inspiration they contributed in the gaming world.
Video games are no longer just a simple past time. Today's games are evolving into true works of art. Offering intriguing narratives, cinematic setpieces, and profound messages, games can entertain us for hundreds of hours.

I would say it does. The combat is a bit shit for todays standards but everything else is great.

They tried to turn it into Call of Duty and it killed it off. They should reboot it and go back to it's roots. But they'd ruin it with online-only/multiplayer style bullshit so why bother? I have very fond memories of these games, but this series can stay dead as far as I'm concerned.

I have fond memories of playing the Medal of Honor Breakthrough MP Demo. It had two maps and custom servers. Living on campus, I had it downloaded on one of the PC Lab servers so I could access it on any computer at the university. Joined a clan and made friends that I still keep in touch with today.

this is really sad and I hate to see this happen to so many awesome developers. This is also going to shy people away from taking chances with games which is going to suck.
With the rise of development costs, expect more to go down under.
This is a bit of a poor article and doesn't actually mention any of the so called 'More Game Studios Going Under' or even any remotely in danger, or even any theory why. Just a round up of 2012's which has been covered in the past numerous times.
3 of them were Sony first party studios.
